The Crazy Drunk Heckler, Part 2

When we left off  in part 1 (See it here first!) a drunk man was giving me a hard time as I preached in Huntington Beach to another man who was listening to every word I was saying. Suddenly the police drove up. Here’s what happened…. (Read the rest of the story below.)

The drunk man was apparently on leave or just got out of the military. He said that the worst mistake he ever made in his life was enlisting.

The Crazy Drunk Heckler, Part 1

While in Huntington Beach last week I had a great time asking trivia questions and preaching the gospel—until a drunk guy swaggered in—then it became even more exciting! There’s some great filming and editing from the Way of the Master team. I will post part 2 when it becomes available. (See part 2 by clicking here.)

This will be the featured video for the show “On the Box” where I was a guest today with Tony Miano and Chad Williams.

Evangelism Adventures: “Day of Silence” & Long Beach Grand Prix

This Friday take advantage of students not saying a word and preach the Gospel to them at the annual Day of Silence.

If you’re not familiar with this event here is how Randy Thompson, of Save California.com describes it:

Craftily packaged as “tolerance” and “sensitivity,” the so-called “Day of Silence” is sponsored by the “Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). It targets impressionable children each year in California government-run schools. This Friday, April 15, many public high schools and a growing number of junior highs will permit confused and rebellious boys and girls to disrupt the entire school day by “remaining silent.” Students participating in the “Day of Silence” will wear pro-homosexuality T-shirts, buttons, and stickers, refuse to answer teachers’ questions in classrooms, make it difficult for other students to concentrate, and generally take over school campuses for the entire day.

Atheist Tuesday Movie Rec: Soul Surfer

I have a challenge for you unbelievers on this day: Go see a movie that is positive, inspiring and might possibly cause you to shed a tear or two. I call it “Rocky with One Arm.

Here’s how Plugged In describes the film: It was 2003 when, at the age of 13, real-life Bethany lost her left arm in a tiger shark attack. Soul Surfer tries to tell the story of her courageous, indefatigable fight to return to competitive-level surfing. It also serves as a testament to the spiritual, emotional and physical restoration she attributes to “God’s healing touch.”

Don’t worry, unbelieving friend, the Christian references are kept to a minimum.

I am curious to see if you will be as touched as I was when you see the movie.

I HAVE JUST ONE WARNING FOR YOU THOUGH…
