Rose Parade 2013 Report & January Evangelism Destinations

We had twenty evangelists from many different churches join our team early in the morning on January 1st. Most of us got about three hours sleep, yet were ready and willing to hit the road and share our faith with many of the estimated one million people who were there. We also met up with many other faithful proclaimers of God’s Word, including the Holy Bible team (the good sign guys), Ysidro (who pushed around a giant Bible), and many others with crosses and megaphones.

Our team handed out 25,000-30,000 Gospel tracts and preached in the open air many times. And, believe it or not, no one was arrested, beat up or injured along the way. Happy New Year!

See below for what we will be doing the rest of the month of January.

JANUARY EVANGELISM EXCURSIONS

Saturday, January 5th: The Roadium Swapmeet in Gardena: Meet at Hope Chapel at Noon to pray, eat pizza and then go out to share our faith.  We leave promptly at 12:30 pm, returning by 4:00 pm.

The Everyday Club 2013

On January 1, 2004, I made a commitment to share my faith every day. (Read about that here.) Making this commitment has taught me to be a more gracious Christian in the face of opposition, a more faithful evangelist in the presence of the unsaved, and a more thankful disciple of Christ. Thankful because I once was lost but now am found.

What is The Everyday Club?

This is an evangelistic Club where you make a goal to share your faith everyday through tracts, personal witnessing or open air preaching. You make your own personal goal and report on it at the monthly Everyday Club post I write on the first of each month. The minimum goal would be to hand out one tract a day, but you can make whatever goal you want.

The Club’s purpose is to allow you an opportunity to set an evangelistic goal and monitor your progress and faithfulness to that goal. This is not a legalistic prescription or a vow; it’s simply a personal goal. Sometimes you will fall short, other times you’ll hit it.
