Lost (Losing) Liberties: Street Preachers Arrested, Then Sue


When police officers in Grand Rapids, Mich., shut down a group of street preachers outside a pagan festival last fall, they infringed upon those preachers’ constitutionally protected free-speech rights. That is the argument behind a lawsuit filed by the Allied Defense Fund against the city on behalf of one of the preachers.
