Evangelism Adventures: Armed Forces, Gay Pride Parades, American Idol Finale

If the world doesn’t end on Saturday we have a lot of fun places to preach the Gospel to those whose world will end someday soon. (It won’t; more on that tomorrow.)

Saturday, May 21st @ Armed Forces Day Parade: Meet at Hope Chapel at Special Time 10:00 am to carpool. Parade begins at 1:30 pm.

Sunday, May 22nd @ Long Beach Pride Parade: Meet at Hope Chapel at Special Time 8:30 am, to carpool. Parade begins at 10:30 am.

We’re going to the American Idol Finale Wednesday (details below). This is what happened last year:

Wednesday, May 25th: Evangelism Adventure @ American Idol Finale Meet at Hope Chapel at Special Time 8:00 am.

  1. “For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.”—1 Cor. 1:21

May God continue to use you in powerful ways Pastor Steve and those with you out there proclaiming the Good News!!! The Lord’s blessings on you all!!!

  2. Never seen such excitement from an organic congregation over the mentioning of the Ten Commandments! 🙂

    Great job, Pastor Steve.

  3. Might want to work on that standardized script of yours.

“God has a standard He’s going to judge everyone by, and that standard is the Ten Commandments!”

Like the Fifth (unless you’re Catholic or Lutheran) – “Honor thy father and mother” (Mark 3:32-35)

“Have you ever hated somebody one time? Called somebody a name? Like “Oh, you fool!” The Bible calls that murder!”

Oh, you mean like “You hypocrites!” (Matthew 23:27)

“You snakes! You brood of vipers!” (Matthew 23:33)

    Sinners everywhere, huh?
