Famous Lost Words: Katherine Hepburn

In an interview in the October 1991 Ladies’ Home Journal that was advertised as her “most candid” ever, Hepburn said:

Katharine Houghton Hepburn (May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003) was a four-time Academy Award-winning American star of film, television and stage, widely recognized for her sharp wit, New England gentility and fierce independence. Her career spanned seven decades.

    Good for her! I’m sure it was tough for someone from her generation to admit to being a rational person unrestrained by the schackles of faith. She is dearly missed.
