180 Movie Giveaway: Ray Comfort Beat My Record (or did he?)

As you know, the stunning and shocking film, “180” (180Movie.com) has been out for several weeks and it’s making a huge impact on people who’ve seen it. Since watching this 33 minute movie, I am now incorporating abortion as a topic of discussion in my evangelism efforts. Also, I just discovered that there is an abortion mill down the street from where I live; I will be visiting there soon. In addition, I am now praying about how to start up a Pro-life ministry at our church Hope Chapel—all because I watched this film.

It is so important to get copies of this DVD into the hands of as many people as possible. It’s easy and fun to do, too. Maybe you will want to join the competition:

Last week, after watching a staffer at Ray Comfort’s ministry hand out ten DVDs in nine minutes, I handed out 12 copies in about one minute. Ray Comfort then took up the challenge and smoked me, handing out 15 copies in—11 seconds! 11 seconds! Watch his video below but please understand that his victory was short-lived.

My challenge was to hand out 16 copies in under FIVE seconds. If I did this, Ray’s record would be thoroughly crushed— no one could ever, ever beat it. Could I do it? Judge for yourself….

But that ain’t all. Continue reading for something really, really, shocking. In fact, I surprised myself when this happened!

Atheist Tuesday: The Atheist Prayer

There’s only one rule we have after setting up our new Prayer Stand: Pray for the atheists. Each and every time we set it up we will pray for the atheists to get understanding, to get wisdom, to repent of their sins and trust in the Savior. Every time.

We recorded our “Atheist Prayer” last week at a local college for YouTube so all the adamant unbelievers will know we are interceding for them because we love them. Here’s one review:

“Lol , thanks for wasting your time, I would rather you be at work contributing to society and, no, what you are doing in* is this video is not contributing to society , if anything it is causing aggravation and making society worse , but hey starting arguments and causing aggravation is stereo-typically what theists do , right.—LogicalStatements1 1 day ago

Now see the video of what happened after our 90 minutes on campus:

Holy Hubert Revisited

Many people wonder what impact can be made by someone who preaches to strangers in the open air. Others may wear a furrowed brow when hearing about the “crazy” things that evangelists will do to reach the lost. Holy Hubert was a preacher in the late 1960′s who went onto various campuses to preach Christ to hippies, radical socialists, Satanists, Hare Krishnas, Buddhists, Muslims and Jews; many found Christ as a result of his life and ministry.

I first posted this article about four years ago, then re-posted two years ago and have since received numerous comments from some of the people who were converted as a result of “Holy Hubert’s” ministry. Please make sure you read those comments after you read this article about a man who truly had a passion for the lost. The author of this article is unknown so the accuracy of what is said can’t be guaranteed. Also, you may not agree with all of Lindsey’s theological conclusions (I don’t; and his style of preaching is not my cup of tea either); still, as an historical article it’s pretty fascinating. “Holy Hubert” died several years ago.

Hubert T. Lindsey is one of the great Holiness preachers of our times.

During sixty years of Ministry he has conducted crusades in over 50 nations, established 12 churches and authored 5 books.

America’s best loved and most hated preacher, 74 yr. old (now 83 in nursing home in Raleigh, NC area) Lindsey is perhaps best known as the father of the Jesus movement that swept America in the late ’60s.

During this time more than 3 and a half-million hippies, radical socialist, Satanists, Hare Krishnas, Buddhists, Muslims and Jews found Christ as a result of Hubert Lindsey’s life and ministry.
