LOST LIBERTIES: Chicago Bans “Nativity” Ads


The so-called war on Christmas has been reignited with an ironic decision by the city of Chicago to ban advertisements for “The Nativity Story” movie from a local Christmas festival, fearing they might offend non-Christians.

  1. The irony here is that ads for this movie are being banned from the “Christkindlmarkt,” or “Christ child market” when translated from German. In other words, they’re ignoring the 700lb gorilla in the corner, once again.

    (standard operating procedure in Chicago, sad to say….I grew up in NW Indiana)
