Evangelism Adventures for October

This Saturday we will once again join Tony Miano and the Third Street Heralds for a rousing good time preaching the Word in the open air, through one-to-one conversations and by handing out tracts. Meet at Hope Chapel at 10am to carpool, or meet at the Promenade at Johnny Rockets at 11am.

The video is of my awesome daughter D. D.  preaching a 30 second sermon atop a raised pulpit at the beginning of the 3rd Street Promenade right in front of the entrance to the Santa Monica Place mall.

Here’s what else is happening this month:

Evangelism Adventure: Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair (and our lawyer’s letter)

This is the last street fair of the year, and believe it or not, we usually encounter a little trouble when passing out tracts here. Even though it is protected speech, the police and organizers aren’t aware of that fact. Just to make sure that they are aware, we contacted our lawyer and had him send a friendly “reminder” letter apprising them of our First Amendment Rights. This worked wonderfully when it was sent to the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Police Dept. before we went to that city’s street fair to evangelize. Will it work this time, too? Find out by joining us at Hope Chapel at noon where we will gather together to carpool.

Weekly Evangelism Schedule: USC (again)

We’re going again this Saturday to preach to the thousands of fans congregating at the Coliseum. We still have over 10,000 specially-made USC tracts to give away, too. Won’t you join us? Meet at Hope Chapel at noon to carpool, or meet in front of the USC campus on Figueroa Blvd. at about 1:15pm. (See below for our other events this week.)

Last year the police took away an angry heckler when he tried to stop our preaching:
