According to the L.A. Times, 29-year-old theology student Jee Hyun Song of Anaheim could face 16 years to life in prison for murder because she “accidentally” stabbed her husband, Dong Uk Kim in the chest with a 5-inch kitchen knife during a clumsy hug. According to court testimony she said that he essentially stabbed himself by unexepectedly spinning her around for a hug while she was cooking noodles and holding a knife in the kitchen.

Prosecutors said that she waited two hours before calling a girlfriend who then called the police.
