A man who gave an old military shell to neighborhood children will not face charges in the deaths of two children killed when one detonated, but he will face firearms charges, prosecutors said.

Frank Sendejo, 43, thought a decades-old 40-millimeter grenade was inactive when he gave it to children Aug.29.
