The women weren’t going to see that He had risen, they were going to anoint the tomb. It turns out women are just faithless as men. Look at John 20:11-13, Mary thought someone had stolen the body. Ultimately, it shows how Christ must reveal Himself to a person and then the person believes and until this happens, they do not understand.
