Guest E-vangie: STRIP CLUB!!! By Linda Bush
Linda Bush is taking my evangelism class for the first time. She is relatively shy, unassuming… and if you knew her, you would never think that she would ever do something like this!
When I was in class the Holy Spirit gave me the perfect place to hand out my Million-Dollar bill Gospel tracts… I have prayed many times that the Lord would burn this place to the ground because it is near my home. He gently said “Linda, they will just build another one!” Yes Lord, you are right. So it did not suprise me when I was told that a topless club called the “Wild Goose” was where God wanted me to hand out my tracts.
I was afraid that if I did not do it right away I would not do what I clearly knew I was to do for God; then I would feel awful for a very long time. So the day after class I went to the “Wild Goose.” I parked my car on the street because I did not want to be in that parking lot with my car.
I saw one man near the entrance talking on a cell phone, smoking a cigarette. I started to approach him but he turned his back to me and walked away. Then a man came out the front door right toward me. “Did you get one of these?” I asked.
“No,” he replied and took the bill from my hand. “I got one of these a very long time ago.”
Visions of Hell
This is an excerpt from evangelist Mark Cahill’s book, “One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven,” concerning a conversation that he had with Darryl, the brother of basketball star, Charles Barkley.
When Charles went into another room, Darryl told me, “You know, I had a heart attack a couple of months ago.” Then he added, “I saw something.”
You have probably heard about near-death experiences, where some people who briefly died reportedly saw a tunnel and a white light. But many people see other things, and Darryl did not have the typical experience. He told me that when his heart stopped, his spirit rose up out of his body, and he could look down and see his body on the operating table. He explained that his spirit took off on a journey. Suddenly he saw trees burning, the ground smoldering around the trees, and a lake of fire in front of him. I asked, “What did you see?”
“I saw Hell.”
“You saw Hell? Darryl, if you would have died, where would you have gone?”
He said confidently, “I would have gone to Hell.”
