HOW TO EVANGELIZE USING THE LAW CHEAT SHEET

(WDJD Method; What Did Jesus Do?)

ICE-BREAKER: THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

You: May I ask you the million-dollar question?

Them: Yes.

You: If you were to die today would you go to Heaven or Hell?

Them: Heaven.

W: (WHY?)

Or WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE A GOOD PERSON?

(You: Why?)

(Them: Because I’m a good person.)

You: Would you consider yourself to be a good person?

Them: Yes, a very good person.

D: DO YOU THINK THAT YOU HAVE KEPT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS?

Them: I think so.

You: Have you ever lied?

Them: Yes, of course. Everyone has.

You: What does that make you?

Them: A liar.

You: Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of value?

Them: Yes.

You: What does that make you?

Them: A thief.

You: Jesus said that if you look at a person lustfully you have already committed adultery with them in your heart. Have you ever done that? (If you are uncomfortable with the lust question, ask if they have ever hated anyone, or called someone a name. Then let them know that they are murderers at heart. This is a good alternative when witnessing to a member of the opposite sex.)

Them: Yes.

You: One more question. Have you ever misused God’s name?

Them: Of course, everyone has.

You: That’s blasphemy. It’s very serious. Well you said you were a good person but you just admitted that you are a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer at heart—and you have to face God on Judgment Day.

Them: Oh my.

Judgment: WILL YOU BE FOUND INNOCENT OR GUILTY ON JUDGMENT DAY OF KEEPING HIS 10 COMMANDMENTS?

Them: I would be found guilty.

Destiny: SO DO YOU THINK THAT YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN OR HELL?

Them: Hell.

You: Does that concern you?

Them: Yes!

Now give them the Gospel. Say that Jesus paid the price for them, that He died, was buried and rose again. Plead with them to repent and trust in Him. Use John 3:16 etc.

Then close them. Ask, “Would you like to repent right now and trust in Jesus for forgiveness of your sins?” CAUTION! DO NOT FORCE A “DECISION.” THEY MUST BE FULLY CONVINCED AND CONCERNED THAT THEY NEED A SAVIOR. A pressured decision increases the likelyhood of false conversions.

Have them pray first. You coach them. Then pray for them too. Invite them to church.
