️ PITY THE POOR CHRISTIANS WHO DON’T KNOW JESUS INTIMATELY.
Most of their interpersonal and emotional problems would lessen if they spent significant time with their God, their Creator.
He’s the best therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist, the friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Pour out your heart to Him.
When your life is collapsing, “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Of course, spending time with our Lord will not prevent catastrophes, disappointments, and horrible events but he will be with you, willing to help, and mighty to save.
Remember he’s there when all have abandoned you, to know that He rejoices over You with singing! (Zephaniah: 3:17)
Do you have a time of stillness with God, enjoying him, thinking about him, talking with him?
Do you let him speak to you through his Word?
Spurgeon said, “If we are weak in communion with God, we are weak everywhere.”
When is the best time to be with him?
Morning. First thing. Yes, make him your priority.
Jesus did.
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mark 1:35)
D. L. Moody (1837-1899) wrote, “We ought to see the face of God every morning before we see the face of man.”
Why? Because he’s the only One who can do anything about everything!
Pour out your troubles to him first before calling Dr. Phil.
