A Tool of the Devil?

The apostle Paul warns of men who “are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (2Cor. 11:13)

This 7-minute video features a very nice man—courteous, thoughtful, loving—explaining the way of God more fully… except there is a big problem. Can you guess what it is? I’ll tell you what I think on Friday. In the meantime, read the next post below for a clue.

And this is exactly what Jesus is referring to when He says, “many will come and declare that I am the Christ…” He is NOT saying many will come claiming to be the Messiah (even though that does happen fairly frequently)…

He is referring to many who will come and claim that JESUS is the Christ, but then go on to mislead others with false teachings and false doctrines, such as this man is doing!

The Church by and large will not be deceived by a man who claims that he is Jesus (like that Puerto Rican preacher in Florida), but they are VERY succeptable to being mislead by someone who sounds sincere, like this man, and don’t understand the doctrines of the Bible!

Universalism… seems to be regaining strength again after a century of obscurity. These people are very passionate about propagating their error, it seems, which is ironic, because from their point of view, there is no real need for evangelism since God will win over everyone sooner or later anyways!

That was too irritateing to finish watching. “God is Love”… Then the HAMMER FALLS. This guy is plainly not reading the Bible.

“The angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matt 13: 49-50

“They shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb… and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest.” Revelation 14:10-11

“And all those whose names were not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life were cast into the lake of fire.”
    Revelation 20:15

“I say unto you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him, which after He hath killed has power to cast into Hell; yes, I say unto you, Fear Him.” LUKE 12:4-5

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” Revelation 20:10

Teaching that God is Love and there is no hell is simply giving only half the truth, and although faith in hell may not be essential for salvation, he is minimizing the issue of SIN in the minds of sinners to the point that the cross of Christ is unnessasary. It belittles the price Jesus paid to say there is no Judgment at the time of death.

What Steve says. If Steve (or I) is preaching something not in conformity with the Scriptures, he (I) wants (want) to know.

Scary about the way this “evangelist” ignores the reality of sin and Hell. How can we talk about a loving God if He is not just, and how can we talk about a just God if He does not punish sin? One is tempted to send him a reductio ad absurdum by pointing out that if Hell is not real, then God is showing His justice by sending Hitler and Stalin to Heaven.

    That’s blasphemy.

Doug, Daniel, and Robert: Right on! I will post your your answers on Friday. The man’s website clearly shows that he is a “Universalist.”

    Blasphemy indeed!

That video is what is known as false teaching, the man speaking is a false teacher. Christ warned us and we see it clearly, so no worries mates.
Val great response! Doug’s always ready to give an answer in season and out! Steve keep preaching the truth brother!

Jay, I think you missed it. Clearly the messages are quite different and that’s not what Steve, Doug, Robert and Val are doing…what about you? What do you do? and what do you think?
