The Apostle Paul wrote, “…pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored… And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.”
(2 Thessalonians 3:1-2)

Twenty two new students have started our newest evangelism class, “Sharing Your Faith Without Fear.” Who will be left after six weeks? The sad reality is that there is a 50% drop out rate by the end of the class. Maybe this time they’ll defy the odds.

    Funny, last monday morning was Columbus Day and as I got to the Torrance Social Security Office to preach, there was a line of people even though the sign on the door said, “Columbus Day, Closed”. So I preached the gospel to the line. Afterward I told them, “the Office is closed today for Columbus Day”. They all just stared at me and did not move. So I shouted louder, “Please listen, the SSA Office is closed today!” They still just looked at me and did nothing. I said it a third time. Then I noticed that the line was mostly spanish speaking people…

    So, today was my very first outing with the Evangilist team and I had a great time. We went to the Redondo Pier and I brought my four year old Kaitlyn along. I met some new people and felt good that I was obeying God. Thank you Pastor Stever for your class. I am truly enjoying myself!

    I went to pick up dinner last night and after I paid I asked the hostess if she had seen a million dollar bill and I gave it to her and told her I know you are busy now, but when you get a change she should read it.

    I was in the drive-thru at Carl’s Jr. at 11:10pm on Friday, a million dollar bill by my seat ready to hand out. I had wimped out earlier in the day and this time I would do it. I got my food and paid for it, but didn’t hand out the bill, I was wimping out again. As I was pulling out of the parking lot I noticed the guy forgot to give me a straw. I drove back through the dive-thru and gave him the bill!

    I stopped at McDonald’s for a coffee on the way to church Saturday. After yesterday’s experience at Carl’s Jr. I knew I would have no problem handing out a million dollar bill this time. Wrong! I got my iced coffee and drove off with the bill still by my side. As I was about to pull out of the parking lot I took a sip of my drink, they gave me the wrong drink. I drove back to the window and gave him a million dollar bill. I’m thankful our God is a God that makes people forget straws and mix-up coffee orders. He is faithful when I am not.

    please be patient to learn the “Way of the Master”. it takes a little time to study and practice but the returns are 100-fold. take the baby steps that you need while asking the Lord in prayer to bring creative ideas on where to leave that Gospel tract. and while your at it, ask him to bring someone that would be open to hearing the Law and Grace of the message.

    don’t give up and don’t quit brothers and sisters, we need u!

    oh sorry i forgot to add that i’m co-leading a basic training course at a church i don’t even go to, plus, one of the students, a biker guy who was a lead drug supplier in the foothill area and a hardened man was converted to a disiple of Jesus Christ and ask me to help bring the basic training course to his biker church.

    i have a heart for our youth. so i’m going today to our local high school to introduce the way of the Master to the Christian clubs so they can learn how to pass our tracts and share their faith.

    My daughter and I went to Albertsons on Friday and she became frustrated that we were shopping. She went on to explain that we should be focused on evangelizing. So i said get out your gospel tract and go for it. So she handed out her first track and then continued with others. She was sooooo excited that God was using her and we are looking forward to evangelize with the group in the future.

    Last Friday WOW!
    Handed out the tracks and was so delighted to hear that many of my patients had already accepted Christ and others shocked me with their answers.

    One of them did not take the tract and left it on my table. He is a Jehova Witness. I asked him if he was going to Heaven and he said no that he wasn’t one of the chosen ones. He went on to say that he will live here on paradise like Adam and Eve in a beach house off the coast.
    Interesting????? He was in a bit of a rush but i’d never heard that answer before.

    Most of the patients love the tracts and as you say are very grateful.

    ok so I just finished witnessing to a Lesbian woman and I gave her the bill and asked her the big question Are u going to Heaven when you die? I went on to ask according to the 10 comm. have you ever lied and so forth. She was very cooperative and realizes she will go to hell but did say that she believed in Jesus, so i told her that when we believe in Jesus we love him and want to be like Jesus and we are new lives in Christ now and we choose on our own to want to turn away from sin. So for example if you have sex outside of marriage etc. (to avoid saying having sex with other woman) not ready for that one yet Pastor Steve! and you keep doing it or keep sinning without true repentance and a desire to stop. Well then you really don’t know Jesus and probably aren’t really saved or going to Heaven. Are you okay knowing you’re going to Hell?……………She then said no and then i ended our conversation. Hopefully she’ll think about that conversation again one day.

    oh and I’ve been talking about how Jesus is our parachute example from the CD Hells best kept secret and people really seem to like that analogy. i share with them the ex: if you’re in a plane and i tell you it’s going to crash and i say here put this parachute on it will save your life. Would you put it on and keep it on? WOW. It really makes the witnessing powerful. There’s way more urgency! So then I say Jesus is coming are you going to go to hell or be saved by putting on your parachute (Jesus).

    ok first patient today said confidently that she was going to heaven because she was a good person and i told her but if you were judged based on the 10 comm. etc. she said yes still going to Heaven bec i believe in Jesus and have repented of my sin. She was so happy and felt so blessed to receive the bill.

    helped a patient today and handed out a bill and said here this is for you. There is a Mill dollar question on the back just for you. It’s asking are you going to Heaven or Hell. She was in a hurry but was really happy to get it.

    This is kind of long so bare with me but it was truly convicting for me.

    This morning i was getting coffee with my coworkers who i am truly very close to and consider my family. One of them tells me jokingly yet serious at the same time. “Yesterday you hurt my feelings because when i showed you a text you gave me a dirty look and told me Don’t show me that kind of stuff again! She was really caught off guard by my reaction. I didn’t give it another thought being unofficially diagnosed with ADD as i like to call it. lol. But when she mentioned this earlier i felt a heaviness in my heart and wanted to let her know that i didn’t mean to offend her and to avoid any possible offenses in the future i wanted her to know what was going on.

    I told her I want to ask you a question. If you were in a plane and someone told you. Here! Put this parachute on. It will help you with your flight. You would think that person is wierd and doubt him and maybe put it on out of curiousity but at some point you will probably doubt what am i doing i’m the only one with this heavy thing on. I look really dumb and take it off. Then the plane suddently starts to dive down you realize oh no i don’t have the parachute on and it crashes, burns and your dead.

    Or another situation: You’re in a plane and this person tells you Hurry! Put this parachute on NOW! This plane is going to crash any minute! This WILL save your life. What would you do? Obviously she said I’d put it on and cling to it. Would you feel dumb. No! she said.

    Well i learned recently that Jesus is that parachute and the bible is telling us to Put on that Parachute NOW!, Judgement Day is Coming and without it You’re Going to Die. But with it you’ll be saved and have eternal LIFE.

    I told her, I don’t care if people think i look dumb I only care about clinging to that parachute that’s going to save me. (Jesus)

    But I’ve also learned recently that just because we got saved we can’t expect that are lives are going to be easy and better because we just got saved. Remember we are going to die and we’re still going to go through the experience of the diving and crashing of the plane, but the question is do you have your parachute on? If you do as you say you do. Then why if you know Jesus detests things like pornography even if it’s a joke via text, or bad language, or even sex out of marriage etc. if you truly are saved as you think you are the bible says we naturally don’t wan’t to break God’s heart don’t want to do anything that doesn’t please him. Yes you may fumble time to time but do you truly desire what God wants. When your saved you’re old self dies and the stuff that God detests you begin to detest and the stuff that God loves you begin to LOVE.

    So i’m not trying to offend you i’m trying desperately NOT to offend God anymore. She totally understood but then chuckled and said that about 6 months ago Barbara you were on this whole thing about not wanting to swear and then i saw you mess up so many times that i figured you didn’t mean it and weren’t serious about it. That you were back to old Barb! When she said this my heart sank. literally! This is how a babie Christian saw me in her eyes? How do others see you?

    I felt so embarrased but i told her I’m so sorry because if you only knew what’s in my heart and how much i desire to change and that i want to please God. I am a sinner but i don’t want to sin. She said ok so now i know you really mean it and I wont show you stuff like that etc. anymore.

    So i left and knew deep down inside that people (new believers or non believers) are looking and judging you daily and we truly are living under a microscope. As Christians we have to change and stop having a victim attitude and start letting Jesus shine through us so that others can feel God’s love and kindness. They should be able to see how God has changed you already and how he is actively working in you now.

    So here all along I’m thinking wow God changed me sooo drastically when i was saved many years ago. I knew it, my friends and family saw this change but yet a little filthy potty mouth around wordly people and or new believers destroyed everything.

    I guess I realized that instead of bringing her closer to God I was hurting her spiritually. Wow that’s really dangerous and in my heart i feel a very serious SIN. I’ve never experienced this type of conviction before so hopefully this little evangie tale will inspire others if you’re going to talk the talk you have to walk the walk. Control your tongue and let Jesus shine his light through you 24-7.

    Yesterday, I was passing out 1 million dollar tracts, and one lady told me that she didnt want one, this is at the vons grocery store, i asked her if she had any spiritual beliefs and began the way of the master evangilsm. she listen intently, and tahanked me for the witeness.

    yesterday during day i handed out 2 more bills and asked them if they are going to heaven or hell and they smiled so i told them check on the back of the bill for a surprise question.

    oh my, i almost forgot my little Emily she was actually really bummed she missed her class last night with Pator Steve and i thought that was really cool. She saw the bills and said thank you very much those are for me. What a beautiful heart for Christ! This class has brought out the best in both of us and it’s incredible to see just how much God is working in us and now using us. She’s reading her bible every morning and I’ve been teaching her to pray before she opens it so that the Holy Spirit fills her with understanding of his Word. Today she opened it and spoke of evangelizing. God’s timing is perfect.

    Very interesting witnessing experience just happened.

    I was helping a young man with his paperwork and i said while i print info out for you have a seat and i have a little gift for you, there’s a million dollar question on the back go ahead and read it and tell me what you’re answer is. He read it and just went on about Heaven and hell is here and blah blah blah i’m a good person. I’ve been to jail and they taught us that in other words hell is here. He then said he read the bible while in jail and he respects all religions etc. etc. so i asked immediately let me ask you something have you ever lied? yes what does that make you? etc bottom line is i asked do you believe in the bible since you said you read some of it. Do you believe in what it says and he contradicted himself and said yes. Ok so in the bible God is very clear that if you break any one of his comm. you will go to HELL and you have already admitted to breaking 3 of them so where will you go? He answered hell. Does that concern you? He said well not really. So then i asked him have you ever felt with your heart so strong about something and come to find out you were wrong? He said sure i have. So then you’ll agree you could be wrong now? He said right. So are you ok with knowing if you’re wrong now the consequence is HELL? God says REPENT or you will PERISH! he was silent then i repeated 2 more times if you don’t repent anthony you will perish! You could die today going home! Jesus is trying to wake you up and tell you right now listen to me REPENT OR YOU WILL PERISH and he just got serious and said he would think about it.

    I pray that God’s will be done. WOW that was so intense. I’m sure i made a lot of mistakes but thank you Pastor because last nights examples helped me prepare for today.

    Another lady came in and we did the same and she said good person, etc.
    and she says i never really looked at it like that i do honesly repent and believe jesus is Lord and she really appreciated me talking to her about it bec. we went over backsliders and true and false conversion and more importantly the 10 comm.

    OK 2 other ladies came in and i asked them everything and one said i know i’m going to Heaven because Jesus died for me and i have asked for his forgiveness. SHe also went on to tell me that she had contemplated suicide in the past and although still suffers from a lot of depression puts her trust in the Lord.

    The other lady on the other hand was very uncomfortable with the whole thing and feels she’ll go to heaven bec. she’s a good person and bottom line i said a lot of the things i said to Anthony (see above EV tale) and repeated to her Repent or you will perish. She believes parts of the bible but she struggles with some of it too. Her friends said after she left oh and with the bill by the way hee hee. but her friend said she went through a lot in the past so her heart is very hardened. But she also said but look at me my heart was hard in the past too and i got saved. So i told her to keep her friend lifted up in prayer.

    This morning the first lady took the bill and she said I’ve been a good person and we discussed the 10 comm. She said i believe Jesus is my Lord and have repented. We then discussed your heart desiring what he wants and hating what God hates, etc.

    She said she hasn’t been talking to God lately. We had a great talk.

    Next man i spoke with said he doesn’t believe in hell or heaven. He thinks it’s here on earth. He says the bible says this. That we become wondering spirits. I asked which bible is this you speak of. He says the christian bible. I said have you read the whole bible? he said only the New testament. Great! than you will agree that in the bible God says if anyone of my 10 comm. are broken you will go to hell. Have you ever lied, etc etc. He said yes but i believe in Jesus and that he died for my sins. Then if you believe in him do you believe in his word? yes ok go home a re read the bible you will find in many places where it says this. So he said ok i’ll show you also in the bible where it says heaven and hell is here.

    Pastor Steve: where in the bible does it say something about this that he misunderstood?

    Next man said i’m going to Heaven because i go to church every day and do the rosary. I asked him have you ever lied, etc. according to God’s word if you have broken any of his comm. you will perish but i have repented and believe in Christ. Ok just know that going to Church is not the reason you enter the kingdom of Heaven it’s your faith and trust in the Lord, he said i know. Very sweet man.

    Friday morning I was running errands and stopped at the Redondo Beach Library to return books. I needed directions and asked a guy sitting on the bench. I gave him a tract and told him, Here you go ! He was happy to receive my tract and I was happy too.

    ok just finished a break and was talking to a coworker and he said i don’t believe in the bible (which he has read many times) being brought up in a strong Christian household and i don’t believe in heaven and hell and i don’t believe earth was created in 6 days etc. I’m agnostic he said. so i asked him if he had ever been wrong before? he said yes and then i said what if you were wrong about this?

    He answered i’m not going to hypocritically say i believe in God if i don’t. I don’t feel i have to tell people i believe in Jesus to keep me from going to hell. He does believe in the 10 comm. but as a guideline of rules to follow created by man. He says his parents have prayed over him, he’s had water from the Jordan River poured on him, etc.

    another coworker just told me look i was raised catholic and i was in church 3 days a week growing up believe me i know God but that doesn’t mean i practice what i know.

    just saw a lady and she said i’m going to heaven bec. i’m a good person and i asked the questions and she said wow sure i’ve done this and that. But she then said she was saved, baptized and forgiven. So now she knows why she’s going to Heaven. She was so excited about the bill i gave her some extra to share with others.

    just finished speaking with a man who was shocked (in a good way) that i asked him these questions. He said yes i believe i’m going to heaven because i’ve been working on this. Since my injury over a year ago i started going to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and i’ve been serving a lot and going to the classes for a year now. I said great so you’ve been reading the bible? Oh No! I don’t have time for the bible my gift is serving God. As a matter of fact I’m so busy during the service i don’t ever really even hear the message. I just love serving. At that moment I quickly just prayed to God to please help me talk to him because I didn’t know what to tell him or ask him.

    So I then asked who are you serving? He said the Pastor and the people, my community. I asked why do you serve them? Because no one else will do what i do. I said who do you really do it for? He said for them. I asked do you do it for God? No I do it for the people. I was shocked by his answers. So going back to the bible, I said if you were to switch to a totally different position in the post office would they give you a manual? Yes. Would you read it and study it? Yes of course. Why? Because i want to do a good job? How can you truly serve if you don’t know what God wants of you. Then i asked him do you love your wife he said yes. Do you know her well? or not really? He said of course i know her. Than how can you truly love God if you don’t really know anything about him. He was so shocked and said wow i’d never looked at it like that. That makes sense.

    Then he talked about how he had been reading the Secret. We talked about that. Anyways getting to the good part he said he was going to retire in about 4 more years and wanted to serve God and grow spiritually etc. I asked him have you ever asked Jesus into your heart and truly repented. He said sure so i said great lets pray for you to have an immense thirst for God’s word and that he may fill you with his Holy Spirit so that you may understand his Word. So we did and i said if you truly feel it in your heart repeat with me. We prayed and just to be on the safe side I added the opportunity to say the sinner’s prayer if he meant it and he did repeat it and was kind of blown away by God.

    Did i mess up by the last part? Did i force it on him? Is this an example of false conversion or would you have done it too?

    this morning a lady saw the bill on my desk and asked if she can have it.
    Then we spoke and she was going through a lot of trials after our discussion she asked where Hope Chapel is bec. she wants to start going. How cool.

    Yesterday, I saw the patient from the previous week who tried to leave the bill on my desk (but i didn’t let him), well yesterday I saw him on the floor with his head on the floor in front of him in one of our treating rooms. I asked one of our chiros if he was ok because it looked like he had fallen and they said he was praying. He’s muslim!
    I’ve never seen that before.

    handed out another bill and guess what the lady actually met kirk cameron at jury duty kirk and ray c. were witnessing to people. She said she felt the presence of God when she was talking to him. How cool. But yes she was saved.

    We’re so happy that we finished the 25 bills yesterday plus some extra!
    What a beautiful experience. I think Emily and I truly will enjoy the open air preaching. This class has definitely opened my eyes to the gifts God has given us.

    Hi Pastor Steve. I have seen a post from you that you give points during your WOTM basic training course. I’ve taught the course once and ran into a problem regarding wondering whether a person had really passed the course when they hadn’t come to every class and hadn’t really done all the requirements. I thought your point system would be really handy in helping me figure that out. Could you tell me how you run your class and about your point system? I will be teaching the class again and I think the points system would really help.

    I went through the Evangelisn class about 6 months ago. I want to encourage you current students to hang in there. Your class should be about half over now. Stick to it, finish well, stay the course, don’t drop out. You will be blessed, our Father will be pleased, you will be better equipt to be obedient to the Lord’s commission. And it’s FUN! Completing this course and still going with the team on Saturdays has changed my life. I am more bold than ever, I feel more ready to share the gospel, and enjoy being used by our Lord to further His kingdom. Stick to it!

    Hello, I don’t have an experience to share. But I wanted to say that I am glad to have read through these comments. Barbara unfortunately Satan had a grip at me when I first started reading yoru comments, and I was like common lady you’ve said enough, that was so stupid of me, and actually i am really glad you posted so much. It is awesome to see how God is working through you and with you and amazing that you have so many opportunities at your work to sit down and talk to people about God and salvation in detail. It is also great to hear about the different peoples reactions, God sure is using you, and I am looking forward to learning more about this stuff myself and praying God will use me as well 🙂

    Hopefully Pastor Steve answered you about the Bible speaking about Heaven and Hell on earth?? If not, since the guy said he had only read the New Testament, I will assume that he is saying that the NT says that Heaven and Hell are on earth. I think he completely misundestands, however I will say that, Hell, though commonly used, isn’t actually the eternal resting place of the unsaved, the lake of fire is and Rev. 20:14 tells us that death and hell get thrown into the lake of fire. Though until that day all the unsaved do go to torments in hell like the rich guy from the parable of Lazarus and the rich man.

    However, as far as Heaven goes, again the eternal resting place of the saved Christians is not Heaven, when people speak of Heaven i am assumign they mean the 3rd heaven (first heaven is our sky, second heaven is outerspace, 3rd Heaven is where God is (2 Corinthians 12:2 refers to the third heaven, I am assuming my interpretation of the 3 heavens is correct).) And we know that saved people who die now go to be with the Lord and are in paradise, however it is true that when this world is over, that the eternal resting place of all saved people is a new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21:1). But of course anyoen who hasn’t put their faith in Christ will be in the lake of fire, so it is incorrect for someone to think that they don’t have tod o that and can just “hang around” until God makes the new earth and end up in “Heaven”, cuz that person will be thrown into the lake of fire.

    As far as teh guy talking about not being chosen, but living on a beach house on earth like Adam and Eve, I don’t know too much about that, but that goes into fictious Jehovah’s Witnesses beliefs, which are lies, so don’t worry about that, as it seems you havn’t, perhaps Pastor Steve can fill you in more if it seems good to him, I don’t know much about it, but whatever it is its not based on the truth and twists/ or wrest it (see 2 Peter 3:16).

    Anyways this is great, and its awesome to see and hear of all you folks’s work and inspires me. I am thankful the Lord has lead me to find out about Way of the Master and some other things lately to really boost me and help guide me to the next level! The Lord has been increasing me a lot, and its awesome! He is so awesome and good and Wonderful! I pray the Lord will send you to people prepared by him to hear your graceful words of Good News !

    Yesterday I had a patient that was suppossed to meet with me before he left but the staff said he couldn’t handle being in an office with so many people and had to leave. Today when he came in I reminded him to come and see me so he did and I asked him what was going on and he put his fingers to his head as if signalling he was pulling a trigger. I said don’t pull the trigger come and talk to me now if you can.

    So we talked about his case and then I gave him a bill and he said oh you already gave it to me last week. OOPS! my bad, He said you should be a Reveron. I said nope just a messenger. So what’s your answer to the back of the bill. He said I am a Warrior of God. I said great. Me too. It looks like God’s trying to get your attention. Sometimes he’s got to break you to get you to listen and depend on him only. Gave him another bill. and he left.

    Yesterday Emily asked her Mormon friends who we were babysitting if they were to die where would they go? and they didn’t know. So we asked do you know about Heaven? Hell? They said yes to Heaven but they didn’t no Hell or the Devil.

    Oh Emily gave my cousin who was visiting and her 11 year old daughter a huge 100 bill and the small bill too. Instead of putting it in her purse my cousin put it on the table so while they were sleeping I put it in one of her boots so she would see it again. She again put it on the table the next day. I should of put it in her purse but i didn’t want to pry. it’s interesting how family is the hardest to reach

    My cousin had a major heart attack 18 months ago and he’s only 40. He had days to live. He believes in God but thinks Jesus was a good man only. I tried my hardest to witness about Heaven and Hell back then and I asked him what’s it going to take for God to get your attention? he did however answer that he would accept Jesus vs. rejecting him if he had to choose. he doesn’t get it. I don’t get it either, how to help, that is. I feel disabled when it comes to helping family, all i can do is go out and make mistakes, but i will continue to use the 10 comm. The Way of the master is a blessing! So God still has him alive 18 months later and just yesterday I got a call from his Mom that the doctor told him his heart is worse. What can I do to prevent him from going to Hell? Maybe I should stay out of God’s way! Any suggestions Pastor Steve????

    Just read your feedback. Thank you for the info. I am so fascinated by how God works in all of our lives and to see other people’s reactions. Most importantly seeing first hand how God touches others and you getting to see the fruit right before your eyes. God is a beautiful and very special gift, It’s exciting to share this precious gift with everyone!

    Handed out a bill and went over the WOTM script and he said someone has already asked me this info before. Somewhere else using this method. And that he had received a bill from his brother. He was telling me that after keeping it in his pocket he almost made the mistake of paying with it once too. So after asking if him going to Hell concerned him? he said sure it does and he said well i already did what i had to do. We didn’t get much time to talk but i gave him the bad and good tract and told him to really take the time to think about the burning flames of hell and if he had truly repented and trusted in God. Has he really tried to turn away from his sins. He didn’t seem like he got it. But at least we tried. God can do the rest.

    Another patient today said that she watched her Mother in and out of Church and backslide so much in her life that she never wanted anything to do with Church again. Slowly God brought her back to him and she and her husband were saved and growing in Christ with the word. She’s going to take her husband to watch Fireproof this weekend.

    I wanted to take the time to thank God and you Pastor Steve for this class. The WOTM has truly woken me up by instilling in me a fear of backsliding. It’s clearly shown me how lukewarm, selfish, and lost I am as a Christian. Yes my heart is on fire for Jesus and I genuinely want to mature as a Godly Woman but now after the exposure to WOTM, this class helped me see that my actions reflect differently, I was so caught up in ME & MY FAMILY that I’m embarrassed of how little I do for God. Instead of focusing on God’s business I keep getting caught up in the world. Busy with this, busy with that. Soccer is almost over, very soon. As you know I had previously made a commitment to Emily and her team to be available for all games. But once that is done, my Saturdays are available and Emily and I are committed to join the group to learn and help do open –air preaching.
    Last night I read the last part of the workbook you gave us because I didn’t understand the importance of open – air preaching and after reading it OH MY! That’s how Jesus truly did it. Go for the masses! And here all along I was comfortable with just the flow of new patients we get monthly. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
    What a blessing to have your eyes opened and to be woken up! Praise God. Once again thank you.

    witnessed to one of our doctors who believes heaven is now on earth and after death is hell. I gave him the bill and then he wouldn’t here of it. He is the sweetest doctor ever but he looks at all this as foolishness. Then before he left today i gave him the good and bad yellow tract. he actually read and answered each question and then looked at me like come on barb. I told please just read it and truly answer the questions tonight or when you get in your car. What if you’re wrong? If you don’t repent and put your trust in jesus you will perish and burn in hell for ETERNITY!

    gave out bill and asked questions she is saved and going to Heaven. She was so grateful bec. she asked for more bec she has a niece who is gay. She is trying to witness to her but her niece says she can’t go to heaven no matter what.

    Who says evangelism has to be boring. We took off our shoes and walked along the sand near the Redondo Beach Pier today. The crowds were relaxed and very receptive. The only hazard is avoiding getting your tracts wet:) Join us next Saturday on our outing to Huntington Beach and kick off your shoes with us!

    Witness while you wait for your oil to be changed at Wal Mart. Go early in the morning just about 30 minutes after it opens. By then a few people will be waiting in the waiting room. Go get some fresh donuts instead of tracts and start witnessing. If they don’t want the donut give them the tract. This can lead to a great discussion if you don’t chase them off to the gun department. Remember, Mormons and JW’s are identical, both will not admit to Jesus as God. Hit it hard on this point but know your Bible enough to show them at least 4-6 places where it’s obvious that Jesus is God.
    It will be the best oil change you’ll remember.

    Many may not count this as a true evtale, as it was done from the comfort of my bed in my room, and online, but that doesn’t matter someone God wanted to receive the Gospel got it, and all the glory was given to God and it was an awesome step for me.

    A friend of mine suggested I talk to a friend of theirs who is preparing to be a catholic priest after my fiance passed away. I thank the Lord that I did not talk to him at that time and praise the Lord for his great grace and mercy in helping me through my darkest hour, turning it to light, and turning my greatest defeat, to utter victory in Christ, as it was through that event that I got saved and have the peace I now have.

    Anyways I was online looking something up before going to bed and noticed the catholic priest in trainging get online, I tried to have the excuse that I was just goign to look this thing up and go to bed, but thank the Lord he had me talk to the person.

    It is also amazing to see the Lord work, unknown to me the Lord was sure to have me use the phrase “born again”, and this person asked me waht this “born again” stuff was, so I copy and pasted John 3:3 for him and suggested he read the whole chapter, he scoffed that I used the King James, and so I asked what he uses, well he uses 3 versions, I quoted him one of his versions saying the exact same thing, though saying born anew, and tehn looked at the other two and suggested he look at them because all of his versions teach this very same thing.

    I basically went through what I have learned of the WoTM program from this site and other free materials, though I just typed it all out figuring he would be uninclined to answer the questions and it was best to get it all out there.

    He taught that we must have a humble and contrite spirit, do our good works, and only then will Christ’s mercy cover us, this was much like a recent WoTM tv program on Mormons I saw, basically teaching Christ can only cover us after we have done as much good works as possible. He denied my claim and Biblical proof that all have sinned, claiming that Mary hadn’t, I didn’t go into this with him, he also said that it was impossible for anyone but the successors of the Apostles to interpret the Bible, I told him that the Bible teaches it is the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things, etc.

    He declined to agree with me about salvation and seemed to deem himself much wiser than I am because he has been studying the “church fathers” for the past 3 years and signed off angrily lest he say anything to offend me. It is sad that he has spent all this time to study the church fathers and not the Bible. He uses 3 versions, yet was unfamiliar with this truth of John 3:3 in each version that we must be born again.

    I thought God would take it easy on me on my first witnessing attempt, all my other firsts had gone successfully, and this one did too in many ways, but I wasn’t expecting him to get angry and so on. It was awesome though to do, and I suppose as is taught on this site that they should get converted or angry. I am certain that God brought about the use of the phrase “born again”, as I had no idea that would not be known to him.

    I pray God will continue to use that phrase in his mind and have him evaluate what I said and what the Bible says, and what he has been taught. What he decides at that point is up to him, he knows the truth now and atleast has a chance to escape from a firey eternity.

    Praise be to God and I look forward to witnessing more and getting my hands on some WoTM training and tracts soon, Lord willing.
