The Reason Why This Blog Exists

I received this very encouraging message on Facebook this morning from Dan Stokely:

I have been hitting the streets with my close friend Vernon Costolo for about 6 months now. He has been able to teach me how to [share] one on one and hand tracts, etc. I had not done any open air or street light evangelism until yesterday. I have to admit that I was to chicken to do so; I don’t have any problem talking to someone one on one, or handing tracts.

Steve, this is where my story hits the main point: I watched your little girl last week get on the box and was very impressed. When I saw your little one get up there and do it, I simply had to lay down all my excuses, and do it!

Yesterday I used Vernon’s amplification and knocked it out. Shaking like a  leaf, I went ahead and proclaimed the Gospel!  I just wanted to let you know that you all are an inspiration to me. Thanks for all you do. Feel free to let your daughter know about this story.

If this blog encourages you to take a next step you can always email me at  [email protected] or reach me on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/StevePSanchez.

It sure does my heart good and cause me to further give praise to God for the way he moves His Spirit in those whom He has called to preach the Good News of salvation through repentance and faith in Christ.

If anyone had ever told me years ago that I would be doing what I am doing today in service for the Lord for the building of His Kingdom, I would have laughed my head off.

Very encouraging! May the Lord bless you, Dan. Don’t stop until He comes to take you home!

    Thanks, Steve!

Good going Dan. I am proud of you for having the courage to get out there and preach to the public. Absolutely amazing isn’t it how God helps us do these things we get so scared and nervous about. Glory to God for him helping us.

I myself am taking Steve’s class currently and went out on my first event to the Hermosa Festival and my second event to the Redondo pier for the hour of power. I was so so nervous and scared, but I am starting to hand out lots of tracts and finally, actually speaking. It gets easier as you go along, but I still need alot of polishing up. I will be content to just be able to do this let alone what you were able to do. God Bless You for trying, doing and keep persavering as I am so trying to do. Denise
