The Everyday Club Report: For June

I can’t tell you how important it is to make a daily goal. I have found that the majority of Christians stop sharing their faith on a regular basis because they have not made evangelism a daily priority. It can be as little as handing out one tract a day! My favorite Spurgeon quote is: “Do something! Do something! Do something!”

Whatever you do is a lot more than the average Christian will do.

Have you ever heard this excuse? I can’t do it on a daily basis because sometimes I don’t leave the house. I understand. I sometimes am faced with the same dilemma. But what if we all chose to leave the house for God? I know it may be a bit inconvenient at times, but what if that was our daily living sacrifice? Just a suggestion.

The Everyday Club gives you the opportunity to hold yourself accountable to whatever evangelistic goal that you have set for yourself, providing that it’s an everyday goal. Your goal can be to hand out one tract a day, or a thousand; it’s up to you! (You can join the 60+ others who have already signed up by clicking here!)

    My goals were:
    1.) 5 tracts a day
2.) 1 to 1 weekly (if not daily)

I handed out about 600+ tracts, and had roughly 5 or six “good” conversations*. While that sounds like it blows my goals out of the water, it doesn’t there were fairs and whatnot. I still need to get the “daily” down.

    * a “good” conversation is where people don’t run off after I say “Are you good enough for heaven?” or something of that nature.

I missed 4 days this month. On the other hand, that means I was priviliged to share the law and gospel in at least 26 conversations this month! (some days more than once) I also thank God for improvement over past months.

Modified my goal after Academy #11 to share the Gospel at least 1x every day. Missed one day since the Academy. I joined an online discussion forum for those days when I just can’t get out of the house.

Total seeds sown in June = 1,510+

    In June, I open-air preached 13 times.

Howdy, wow! June was a wonderful month to be out into the harvest fields with my brothers and sisters. We were at our local DMV, Torrance convalescent hospital, Gay pride parade, Laker victory parade, 3rd Street Promenade, and the Redondo Beach Fair.

Being with my brothers and sister helps me to meet my goals. Thinking about it, over the past 6 months I usually miss my goal of handing out 10 tracts or witnessing to one person everyday when I don’t go out. This month I missed my goal 4 times!! Hope to get every day next month.

The stats for this month are below. I also pray that every tract and every ear that heard and every person we witnessed to will come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Tracts: 5,085
    Hearers: 410
    Personal Work: 68
    Open-air: 4 (one in Spanish)
    Wingman: 4
    Inner-air: 2
    Bibles: 30

    To God be the Glory,

    RR

I have been having one on one’s literally everyday with atheists. Please pray for me not to cast my pearls before the swine. Pray that I only say what God would have me to say. Please share this burden and lift it up to the Lord.

    i said (in tears)…
i guess i was hiding behind the excuse that i don’t leave the house everyday plus, as a mom, i do struggle balancing everything i need to do. i must refocus my priority on my Savior & His call to “Go…”, boy, the Holy Spirit just convicted me on this one. i will refresh my comittment to do something EVERYDAY. after all, that’s why i joined the EVERYDAY club…duh!

no, i did not go out everyday for the month of june, but when i did…

    >the Lord allowed me to introduce & begin the basic training course to my Bible study.

    >handed out 100+ tracts on my outtings.
    >had several 1-2-1 conversations

    no OA’s

Lord forgive me for not doing my best to get your Word out everyday…help me to do 100-fold better than i have been for you my King. Amen!

I’m blessed to live in the LA area near the beach so lots of opportunities to share: fairs, parades, piers, schools, parks. Also have great team members like Steve, Richard, Ed, Carol, Richard B., Bob, Peter, Dennis, Rachael, Steve, Chandra, Val, Yami, Diane.

I’ve been able to meet my goal of every day for the 2nd month in a row, at least 1 every day.

    Some Stats

    Tracts 7,000
    1-2-1 conversations 45
    Open Air 3

I attended three huge events (3,000-5,000 each) “Christian” events and yet in talking to people, it still surprises me how many self-professed “Christians” really don’t know the Gospel. How can you be truly saved, if you don’t even know the basis of salvation? We have so much work to do!
Thanks again Steve for starting this, and all to you fellow Christ-proclaimers. Remember : “Do Something!”

I’m still on vacation but thought that I should post my totals!

My personal goal is to hand out 10 tracts a day or witness to at least one person and open air when I can. Here’s how I did:

    I missed two days.

I handed out over 1,975 tracts.

I personally witnessed to 74 people, a lot of these were in groups.

I open air preached about 20 times to roughly 1000 people. This includes stop light preaching.

    God bless!

For the four weeks going on 5 weeks I have handed out over: (starting in June)
    15 Apples
    102 Water bottles
    165 tracts
Majority of these went to the homeless, some where shoppers at a farmers market, people going to the pups prior to being drunk, at the turkey creek shoping center in knoxville tennesse.
Estimate giving more this week prior to the 4th.(estimate giving about 40 tracts.

I missed my goal almost the whole month. Between passing a cold around the family and my schedule, I didn’t have many chances to get out and pass out tracts. The times I did have I wasted. God willing July will be much better!

The only really good point in June was that I was able to witness to 6+ teens in a local park. It went well and one was visibly under conviction. I am going to have to work on finding people so I get them one or two at a time. Six are way to many to have a really good conversation with at once! The fact that I did it though shows that God is helping me to conquer my fears of walking up to random people or groups of people and witnessing!

    Tracts Left Around: 16
    Tracts Passed Out: 7
    One to One Witness: 6

My goals have been met and exceeded this month. Praise God!!!

    Tracts: 392
    1-2-1: 17 (I couldn’t believe this when I totaled it)
    Bibles: 1
    Open Air: 3

I did not keep up with the number of tracts I left and handed out, I guess because it was a pitifully low number.
I did witness to two guests at the hotel.

I’m going to make it a point to go to the board walk everyday and hand out tracts, and OA when possible.

Miss my goal about four days this month. But otherwise, it has been another blessed month of evangelism.

    * Led Ambassadors’ Academy #11.

    * Traveled to Washington, DC with the family. Had three significant 1-2-1 conversations and distributed about 600 tracts.

    * Preached in the open-air at Devil’s Den, on the Gettysburg Battlefield.

    * Open-aired at the NoHo Metro Station.

    * Open-aired at Michael Jackson’s star and shrine on Hollywood Boulevard.

    * Shared the gospel with atheists and a Muslim on my blog and YouTube page.

July will start with a bang, with the maiden voyage of the Ambassadors Alliance Prayer Station/Evangelism Booth. We are going to set up outside a church that is hosting an annual fireworks show. An estimated 40,000 people will fill the street in front of the church to watch the show. 🙂

    Open air: 3
    Personal: 5
    Tracts: 473

My 10 or more tracts per day only works out on average in the tract department so the number is not based on actual daily hand outs but rather when I can.

    Hey Dede,

Steve’s out being lazy somewhere so I gonna take the liberty to respond to your comment:

Don’t beat yourself up. You’re doing great and a hundred times more than the kind of Christians who go to church on Sunday followed by a chicken dinner somewhere for fellowship. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but for most that is the extent of their weakly (not a typo) Christian activities.

    You’re doing fine. Press on!

Two months I was observed by a fellow Ambassadors Academy graduate silently counting the tracts I was holding in my hand. He asked me what I was doing and I explained that I was counting them because I was a member of your everyday club and that I was just counting them for accountability reasons. He told me it was wrong to count them no matter what the reason and he did this in front of other Way of the Master students. I was greatly humiliated and decided that I should no longer count tracts, keep track of conversations, or of open air preaching. To make matters worse one of the first things I heard out of Tony Miano say at the the June Academy #11 was ” who ever of you are counting tracts you better stop it right now, it is very wrong and should not be done for any reason. I just kept my mouth shut. I have learned that when I try to justify myself I usually make the matter worse and it does not glorify God. I will no longer be sending in reports on my “TOTALS” I was going to talk to you about it but decided that it best just left to God.

I passed out more tracts this month than any other month. My son and I passed out about 1000 tracts and I talked to 21 via 1 on 1 conversations. He had 2, 1 on 1’s and just turned 13 on May 28. I was so pleased with him. I was approached by my pastor to teach a class on evangelism and will be working to do that this fall, God willing. I can’t say that I get out every day but I think maybe Paul has a good idea about joining an online group. I could do that and be more intentional, but I also know that I am in a season of my life where I am not as free to come and go. I know that I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing by training my children not only TO share the Gospel but HOW to share it.

    See ya next month!

Not a great month Steve….July will be better.

    One to One: 6

Gospel Presented via Sermon: About 150 Folks

Open Air: 1 Kind-of. I had the chance to do the invocation at a race-track and basically preached the law and the gospel during the prayer to about 800 people.

Neat Story: Handed out a tract to a cashier at the local Wal-mart. A few weeks later went buy and gave her a “goodie bag” with some candy and a Million Dollar Bill tract. Had the chance to share one to one with her a couple weeks later and she professes to be a believer. This past week she brought her previously un-churched children to our church and I was able to present the gospel to them as well.

    God Bless.

My goal is one tract and or 1 to 1 per day. I failed miserably in June, probably about 15 days success. Planning on a better report this month.

    Steve,
I missed my daily goals this month. I will be working on the daily thing. We have had some wonderful fishing outings for the month of June. Praise God for the wonderful things he has done. I have no clue how many tracts were handed out or conversations I’ve had. I don’t know if I want to know. I will work on my daily goals for next month.

I missed my goal of 3 tracts per day and or one 1-2-1 conversation per day on two days this month. I set a goal to preach open air twice this month and came up short. On a positive note there were many opportunities to share and I was able to distribute over 500 tracts this month. Glory to God!

Goals: 10 tracts a day or 1 conversation
Praying daily for those I’ve witnessed to
Sharing WOTM with fellow Christians every week.

Results: Missed days for tracts/conversation: 5
    Tracts distributed: 1000+ Conversations: 10
Praying: improving, but I haven’t been keeping track
Missed weeks for sharing WOTM: 0 (and, yes, it is mostly with the same several people every month)

I was able to hand out more tracts than last month by hand..although i didn’t do it everyday. I mainly left more tracts at places where they can be found…exercise places, buses, at bus stops, bathrooms. I was also able to place tracts on cars on the 4th of july with some sunrise evangelism=).

    Handed out over 150 tracts

3 conversations, with many small spiritual conversations sparked or questions asked. I’m praying that God is turning some of my co-workers to have more of a concern about what truth is and where they truly stand with God.

I don’t have a problem sharing each day or handing out tracts…or even OA’ing given the opportunity. but I have a great problem with keeping track of it…I forget to write it down. Good thing the Lord will have the details!

I do appreciate you, Steve for the emphasis on EVERY DAY!

    Goal: 5 tracts a day
    1. Total tracts 888 (allstate 400, fairs & a festival)
    2. Missed or not reached the goal 3 days
    3. Open air-preached 3 times
    4. 1on1 2-3 times
I really want to do 1on1 but can’t seem to engage people.
I think I will add one 1on1 to my goal at least once in the month of July and maybe that will help me to make more of an effort.
Thanks Steve, this is great to have this accountability. Praise God and may He receive all the credit for whatever I do. God bless you.
