Hey, that reminds me of what we say while OA preaching. “We don’t mean to offend anyone… but, if you saw somebody drowning, wouldn’t you try to save that person? Now if that person refused your help…well that would be on them.”

That reminds me of what we say to evangelists who use that bad analogy. “We don’t mean to offend you… but if you saw somebody just walking down the street, without a drop of water around them, would you tell them they are drowning? Now if that person thought you were imagining things… well that would be understandable.”

Mr. Vagon,
Are you being logical? What part of the above analogy don’t you understand?
What I’m trying to imply is that as a Christian I have good news to tell folks, it’s the gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t you think it would be horrible if I failed to tell someone that they need to repent because if they don’t there will be eternal consequences.
Again, this post reminds us that we should not assume anything. We as human being are easily deceived. Think about magician and illusionist. They can fool us most every time. We must be deadly certain about our worldview. If there are any inconsistencies in it than it is false.
Let’s start with this: Does your worldview explain the immaterial?

Hi Richard, first off let me say that I like that you are taking your first steps into the wide world of philosophy. I wish you the best.

Be glad to. I assume by worldview you mean philosophy and I want to be careful here so let me counter with a question. What do you mean by “immaterial”? The key point here will be if you can define “immaterial” without stealing terms from the material world.
