NO PUSHOVER

Tatsuo Akimine had an interesting encounter while preaching in front of the Social Security office last week.
null As he stood on his preaching stool, a large, well-dressed black man pushed him off. “I don’t want to hear that!” he complained. “Shut-up!”

Tatsuo calmly replied, “I’ve got First Amendment rights to be here.”

“Well, you’re violating my rights,” the big man insisted. “And if you don’t stop, I will physically deal with you.”

Tatsuo confidently climbed back on his box and resumed his preaching starting with this verse: “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words… the Son of Man will be ashamed of him….”

The man walked away.

(“Tats” has been preaching nearly everyday here and at a local DMV since August 13, 2007)

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” ( 1 Cor 1:18 )

Tatsuo: thank you for your hard work in preaching the Good News. I pray this message adds to the courage you have already demonstrated. Thank you again.
