FOUNDations: Charles Spurgeon

“When preaching and private talk are not available, you need to have a tract read… Get good striking tracts, or none at all. But a touching Gospel tract may be the seed of eternal life. Therefore, do not go out without your tracts.”

Have a great weekend. The blog will now be updated on week days only, since that is when most people are at their computers. And take Spurgeon’s quote to heart—please!

I just read my monthly newsletter from VOM and wow!! A small part of me would like to live in a country that restricts Christianity. How strong must there faith be!! How much gratutide lives in their hearts for the Word of God!! The passion and commitment they feel for Christ is completly different from ours, I believe. I envy the urgency they have for the gospel, one that I have hardly any experience with. I cannot fathom a world where I wouldn’t be allowed to carry my bible in public or pray in public, so I have no idea what it’s like cherish God’s word so much I would die for it, or to feel the love of Christ so much I would walk backward for miles in the snow just to smuggle Bibles into my country. Sure, I could say I do, and I like to think I do, but untill I’ve lived where I am truely persecuted for following God, those feeling will remain foreign to me.
