    Gotta say, Steve, I’m not digging the somewhat morbid obsession with people getting killed that you’ve recently picked up.

    I mean, if that’s what you’re into, there’s a whole series of videos in the “Faces of Death” collection. But putting up the vid’s here seems a little like you’re celebrating the death.

    Just wrong, somehow, for someone with aspirations toward Christlike behavior, IMHO.

    Well, to be honest, I didn’t watch it. For exactly the reasons I stated. All of them that I’ve seen up until now (except the “luckiest people alive” video) have been glorifying death. That seems, like I said, to be an odd fixation on your part.

    On the other hand, maybe that’s just evidence of a well-grounded sense of morality on my part.

    Huh. Imagine that…

    I did. Didn’t find it particularly convincing, though. Regardless of your justification (and Christians are good at that – that’s why there’s a whole field called “apologetics”), you are, nevertheless, posting videos of people dying in various unsavory ways. And there’s a certain hint of gleefulness to it, a “joie de mort” if you like, about the whole business.

    You may be trying to pass along the message “Look how this guy died! And you could be next, so get right with God!” But the message that’s actually transmitted is “Look how this guy died!”

      I’ve never posted a video of someone actually dying, only brief news reports of people who die in unexpected ways as a reminder that the time is short before we all will face our Creator (yes, you, too, whether you believe in Him or not).

      My hope is that you would indeed be concerned about a hopeless eternity in Hell and that you would repent and trust in the Savior who allows you to live another day so that you might be saved.

      Admittedly, these postings are sad, morbid, and not very fun to read. But whatever I can do to jolt you out of your slumber, I will do. Because, I really do care about your eternal future.

      But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

      But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

    Full disclosure – I didn’t watch this video so I don’t know what happens, but at least it doesn’t play by itself. That soccer ball one really irked me. I have a hard time watching people get injured and I saw that each time I opened the page.

    Lol – sorry, that doesn’t happen. Actually, I feel concern for the survivors – the family and loved ones of the deceased — How hard it must be for them. How bad me for not making their tragedy about me.

    But until we have reason to believe that Hell even exists, why would we be concerned?

    Are you concerned about going to the Islamic Hell (which, by their beliefs, you will be)?
