Sudden Deaths: The Killing Fields Just Down the Street

I drove past the innocuous looking building located just a few miles from my home. Making a quick U-turn I parked just up the street from the entrance. A solitary man looked like he was praying as he walked slowly up and down the sidewalk in front of the medical offices.

“This is where they perform the abortions,” I said to my beautiful and precious nine and twelve-year-old daughters who had accompanied me on this trip.

Two women exited. One was weeping as they both hurriedly walked to the parking lot.

The praying man told us it’s busiest on Wednesdays and Fridays when they perform the “surgical procedures.”

“Daddy,” my oldest daughter exclaimed. “It’s called Family Planning Associates Medical Group. Why did they name it that?”

“Because,” I gently explained, “it sounds better than advertising that it’s a place to murder your child.”

A lady in my small group has been a “big sister” to a pregnant local 17 year old. After long conversations, the young lady had decided to give birth to the child and put him or her up for adoption.

I heard last night that the young lady accompanied her mother on her mom’s “work trip” to D.C. last week. While there, the mom gave her daughter cash and sent her to the local clinic to “fix her problem”. The young lady went to the clinic alone where they induced her and then killed the child after delivery.

    She was 25.2 weeks.

She apparently doesn’t understand what they did because she said “for some reason, just after I delivered, they put me to sleep.”

In the same hospital’s NICU, there are premies that were delivered earlier than 25 weeks and have survived. Just think: I bet there are people RIGHT THERE in that hospital that would have taken that 25 week old baby and cared for it and nurtured it. But because of the young lady’s mother, the baby was promptly murdered.

The young lady said that after the whole event, she spent 3 hours in the hotel room crying and begging God to forgive her.

“Sad” doesn’t begin to describe my feelings over this.

So, Jim. The obvious solution is to kill “it.” IT? Yep, I think you may have a greater understanding of the Nazi mindset then I do.

The reason I allow these atheist comments through is so others can see the result of an evolutionary mindset: no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. It’s incredibly sad. Your atheist worldview teaches that life has no purpose therefore the pragmatic thing is best.

      Callous.

But I do understand. Really. I, too, was once once blind.

      From https://stonethepreacher.com/2009/12/16/destinations-venice-beach-2.html :

Nohm asked: “how would you feel if you were, let’s say, hanging out with your daughter at a cafe, just chatting about life, and a muslim came in and started yelling to everyone about taking the Shahada?

And one of Steve’s replies was: “I’d look carefully to see if there was any pronounced bulge in his belly area.

In other words, you would see if he was a suicide bomber.

Yet you’ve used amplification to interrupt people at an restaurant, and got beer thrown on you for it (I still disagree with them doing that).

You talk about “no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy”, but you don’t always seem to show that to others. You’re counting the misses and ignoring the hits.

That’s quite a high horse you’re on, Steve.

To clarify, I think that when you are suspicious that an evangelist of a different religion — who is using the exact same actions that you do — is a suicide bomber, that you’re not exactly exercising understanding, fidelity, love, or mercy.

In fact, it looks like you’re doing the opposite of those things.

Steve, do you have a better gender-neutral pronoun? Or are you just straining for ways to call Jim a Nazi?

Stop beating around the bush. Just say it. You think we’re Nazis. You’ve gone completely bonkers and think that allowing a woman the choice to abort her child is even remotely equivalent to a broad plan to wipe out a race of people.

What’s the end game here, Steve? To kill all babies? Wouldn’t we be pushing to make abortion mandatory?

And yet in my night classes there are no less than three women that got pregnant as teens and decided to keep the child. This might SHOCK you, but I totally respect and applaud their respective decisions so long as THEY felt it was the right choice to make and weren’t bullied into making it.

So, again: where does the Nazi comparison really fit here? Seems like you’re exploiting one of the world’s greatest tragedies to try and score cheap political points. You are spitting on the graves of those that suffered at the hands of Nazi Germany.

You want to debate abortion? Fine. But treat us in a civil manner.

      Hi Jim,
I am one of the 50% that you speak of that survived being born at 28 weeks. My twin sister and I were 3 months early. I weighed 2lbs and my sister only 1lb. My dad’s wedding ring could fit down our arm. I do not refer to my sister nor myself as an “it” and with God’s grace we do not have ANY of the life long problems that you listed. You also mention “many people simply do not have the financial resources to deal with kids with these problems” My parents received donations from people she didn’t even know. I am thankful that my mother did not abort my sister and I. We are not accidents and neither are you. God has a plan and a purpose for everyone. In your previous post you indicated that our planet can only support a finite number of people and we are rapidly approaching that limit. I recently lost my baby at 19 weeks and it was not an abortion. I would give anything to still be pregnant right now and add my baby to the billions of this earth. Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it. Did you know that w/ partial birth abortions there is a mechanism stuck into the baby’s brain to scramble it until it dies? If somebody did that to you or somebody else do you not call that murder? It is purely selfish reasons to abort a baby. There are always other options.

Actually, it’s called that because Family Planning is what they’re all about. It doesn’t take much to click on the link and see they provide of host of other services, such as pap smears, birth control, STD prevention/treatment and ultrasounds.

But hey, I guess I’d made the same mistake as you if I had severe tunnel vision.

No idea what percentage of “Family Planning Associates” business model abortion is, of course. But based on their homepage, they’re trying to compete with Planned Parenthood for business.

If you are concerned about your financial ability to pay for a service that you require, you may be eligible for a state-funded financial aid program that would provide services for you at no cost. Please visit the Fees section of our website for more information.

And since Steve always suppresses my posts showing that abortion is not banned by the Bible, let’s consider the secular facts in the case.

Funny how the holier-than-thou always forget that abortions only make up 3% of Planned Parenthood’s business. (Of course, they also tend to forget that proper sex ed prevents a lot of teen pregnancies, too; of course, Sarah Palin forgot that, too…)

Of course, providing no- and low-cost birth control prevents abortions very effectively. And providing proper pre-natal care (also no- and low-cost) makes the fetus healthier, thereby reducing its risk of being aborted for medical reasons.

But that hardly matters, does it?

      • I’m also sure that they would love to perform less abortions. Handing out birth control and such has got to be cheaper than all the equipment and trained professionals needed for an abortion.

I suggest you should read Huxleys ” 1984″ and study the use of double speak and its modern usage to justify and sanitize crime and murder in our modern culture.

“Family planning” is a master stroke of brillance to mask over the killing of the unborn and make it so much easier to accept.

2.Pol Pot was going to be a Bhuddist monk, but he turned to radical communism instead. His motivations had nothing to do with atheism.

That’s easy: “The historical books of the Old Testament describe the judgment of God on the nations surrounding Israel, and sometimes on Israel itself.”

      Did you have a point?

      • Hayzoose

On children? On “unborn children”? Like I said, if God does it, if God murders children, not only do you not care, you worship and praise him. So who cares what you think about abortion?

For all you know, abortion is God’s judgement.

      • Nohm

Glenn, I assume then that Hayzoose’s point is:

“How do you explain to your daughter all of the slaughter and murder of children (both born and unborn) that God used as judgment on the nations surrounding Israel, and sometimes on Israel itself?”

      • What I DO know is that you will experience the full judgment of God unless you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ.

If you ever do that, come back and let’s talk about abortion and whether you think it’s God’s judgment against the only people on this planet who could be considered innocent.

      • Hayzoose

Well, Glenn Parker, I don’t think abortion is God’s judgement. That would be asinine. However, apparently, you think that the slaughter of those children, born and “unborn”, by the Israelites was God’s judgement, and you have no problem with it. Apparently, you have no problem with the murder of those “unborn” children in the flood. Weren’t all of those “unborn” children just as innocent as the aborted “unborn” children? Why does the one group bother you but the other doesn’t it?

      • BathTub

Pastor Steve, I congratulate you on your desire to post regularly on your blog about this horrible Holocaust in America. I pray that many people would change their minds about killing the unborn. Glenn Parker comment is an example of just how corrupt our society has become. How can one justify the killing of babies in the womb?

    • Reply

The only ones who can justify these atrocities are the atheists on this blog and those who have seared consciences and hardened hearts.

Oh, and those who profit from death.

      • Unlike the theists who have stolen babies from “un-Christian” single mothers in Australia, Ireland and Spain (and who knows where else), profiteering off selling them to good Christian families. Even today a baby can fetch up to $30,000 for adoption. What’s the bet its still occurring?

My conscience is clean, and if you are talking about emotions, my heart is certainly in the right place. I’m emotionally sickened by your analogy to the killing fields. Next time you go to Viet Nam take a short trip to Cambodia and get a clue about what you are pimping out for your b grade movie.

      • Patrick

And you Steve have your blinders on. You see the world as black and white, ignoring the gray.

I am not for abortion as a form of birth control, but I am not going to say we need to outlaw it because there are valid reasons for abortion.

Holocaust????? how about the millions of baby’s that die in the womb without the aid of man? How about the people put to death for crimes committed? You don’t seem to be preaching to end the death penalty.

Speaking of Holocausts in America. I haven’t heard you guys give much interest in the treatment of Native Americans before and even today.

You think you have this “heroic” topic/issue that can herald your church, but I am sorry, there isn’t a clear biblical answer to this one either. Go find another one to latch onto. Get off of your high horse because it has Botulism.

      • And, you know, the millions of theists that support abortion.

There are probably more theists in this country that are pro-choice than there are atheists of any stripe. We’re a fast growing group, but we’re not that big. Not yet.

Do you really abortion would still be around if only the atheists backed it?

To me the Living Waters team got it right when they named their move “180Movie”. We as a country have got to turn the hearts and minds of this generation around and stop the killing of babies in the womb.

So then God knows exactly who will and who won’t be aborted before they are even born. What’s the problem then? All things according to God’s plan right?

I’m confused as to why this has suddenly become such a fevered topic for Living Waters. I mean sure, creationism is going nowhere, and at least abortion is a real issue, but it’s not like you were ordered by God to stop abortions. I’m pretty sure your only command was to “spread the Good News” and let the seeds fall where they may. A “True Christian” would never have an abortion. Your attempts to outlaw abortion are infringing on a person’s free will. Something even your God won’t do. Are you better than your God? Do aborted fetuses go to Heaven or Hell?

I figured I’d throw my 2 cents in here since the conversation is interesting. I’m not in favor of abortion under the vast majority of circumstances, pretty much the only instances I see for it are medical and rape, though I’m not really convinced on the rape. What I would like to see Steve, is would you, and the majority of tax payers agree, if you want abortion to be illegal, agree to pay taxes to put out literature and information on safe sex practices (which includes abstinence) in order to bring the rate of accidental pregnancies down, and also… when those accidental pregnancies inevitably occur, pay the woman’s medical bills, and then pay to have the child go through the adoption or foster care proceedings? If we were able to take the cost incentive out of a person’s reasoning to abort it would go a long way to bringing the rates down I believe.

    • Reply

We actually have a very important ministry that deal with pregnant women, single moms and we have the capabilities to deal with those wanting to put children up for adoption.

I agree with you that rape is no excuse for an abortion. There is still a life in the womb.

      Hey, we agree, Vin! 🙂

      • vintango2k

The question is, is that ministry enough to handle the demand? What you’re combating is the cheap cost of abortion vs. the expense of bringing children into the world. For women who are uninsured and may or may not qualify for assistance the idea of bringing a child to full term when you barely have enough money for yourself is scary. So is going into debt and remaining poor, which only gets worse if you have to now support children the answer? Or worse you’re a single mother and must work a job just to support yourself and it doesn’t offer maternity leave, and you must go on the dreaded welfare in order to survive, is that an answer? We’d need a safety net in place to support these women AND support realistic programs that show results in lowering the rates of unwanted pregnancy so as not to overwhelm the system or send women to back alley abortionists or self inducing terminations. Or would they be able to build the infrastructure for foster homes, orphanages, and adoption agencies for the increased amount of up for adoption children being brought into the world. Would churches be capable of meeting this demand realistically? Or would we have to once again turn to the government and a social program to help them? Every indication I’ve gotten from you says you wouldn’t be in favor of that. Would you raise taxes for this form of…. socialized medicine?

      • vintango2k

In the case of rape, I’m a little torn, I can empathize with the mother more than I can with a fetus. If the woman is forced into a terrible situation by a man she doesn’t know, or hates, or is deranged, she may be forced to pay for a pregnancy she can not afford, and the rapist may not have any money either with which the courts could seize in order to pay for the child. So who will help that mother? Who will pay for her medical bills? Who will help her rebuild her body after the effects of pregnancy? Its one thing to not reward irresponsibility but what if you’re the victim of not having a choice, do we deny that choice once again them? If we do deny them that choice then its our responsibility as a society that is denying them to also provide for them totally, do you agree?

    Hello Steve,

I am glad to your posts highlighting abortion, (genocide) in America.

Is your church apart of the 40 days for Life campaign? Below is from one of 40 days daily update.

You will see frequent references to Planned Parenthood
in these daily updates — after all, of the 301 vigil
locations for this 40 Days for Life campaign, 133 of
them are outside Planned Parenthood facilities.

That’s because Planned Parenthood is America’s leading
abortion chain — 332,278 abortions in one year alone!

Now Planned Parenthood is trying to spruce up its image.
It has to; its financial stability is at stake.

According to their own annual report, this organization
took in $1.1 BILLION during that year. Of that total,
$363 MILLION came directly from YOU through federal,
    state and local taxes.

The bible warns of those who would call good “evil” and
evil “good.” As you will see, that’s exactly what
    Planned Parenthood does.

They are K-I-L-L-I-N-G children for money and a lot of it!!!

        Sad, sad, sad, really sad!!!

Not only are you o.k. with that, but you encourage killing children!!!

      • BathTub

Yep, that’s the pretty standard deflection there Eric.

How many seconds do you think it will take me to have you defending the killing of children as good and holy?

Or will you just run away when you realize the hole you’ve just dug?

      • BathTub

Deflecting away from the huge amounts of money churches get and the ridiculous deflection that ‘I encourage the killing of children’.

Not only do you encourage the killing of children you think it’s good an holy if God wants it.

If I said I thought violently tearing children apart was wrong, would you agree or disagree?

If I said I thought drowning a child was wrong, would you agree or disagree?

If I said that thought killing a child in punishment for the act of someone else was wrong, would you agree or disagree?

Feel free to stop digging at any point and run away, we are used to it here.

      • Eric Stefan

        Bath Tub,

I can not speak for other churches, but the church body where I attend uses the money wisely and seeks to honor God through there actions. When I give my ten percent of the gross, I do it willfully unto the Lord.
We are not a large body of believers, only about 200 people, kids included. The money divided among church up keep, salaries, 12 missionaries and their families, we also support local charities that feed, clothe, and help people with addictions and troubles in their lives. We also have groups of people that help people in the community (they do not even have to come to our assembly or be members), if they poor and are able to fixes done to their dwellings, we help them, whether they are christian or whatever. You get the idea, the list goes on and on.
You make a reference to tax relief, this goes to any 501c not just churches.
Below is from the IRS website, as you can see it’s not just churches…

the exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3) are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. The term charitable is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.

Children, as for children, what an incredible precious gift from God the creator of all. From the beginning of their life when the sperm enters the egg and an unique DNA separate from the mother’s DNA exist.

      • Eric,

        Ditto our church.

Here’s a link of a quick video that the atheists will conveniently ignore. One atheist, Nameless Cynic, after watched this and seeing just some of the good Hope Chapel does, apologized. Kinda. Here’s the video: “On Skid Row”

      • Eric Stefan

        Bath Tub,

I really don’t see what one account has to do with the other account.

On one side you have a pregnant mother, the child has done no wrong and yet she permits the child to be killed and removed from her. What has the child done to warrant death?

The instance you mention in 2kings 2:23 “And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.”
2Ki 2:24 “And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.”

The prophet Elisha who was appointed by God most high. Elisha came in the name of the LORD. When the children mocked Elisha they were mocking God.
The few verses below, there are many more that show the prophets were established by God to speak to the people, all that the LORD has commanded.

Hebrews 1:1 “1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,”

32 “You are to rise in the presence of the elderly and honor the old.[4]b Fear your God; I am Yahweh.
        Lev 19:32 (HCSB)

Ezek 3:16-21 (HCSB)16 Now at the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me: 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman over the house of Israel. When you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 18 If I say to the wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him—you don’t speak out to warn him about his wicked way in order to save his life—that wicked person will die for his iniquity. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. 19 But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have saved your life. 20 Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. 21 But if you warn the righteous person that he should not sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he listened to ⌊your⌋ warning, and you will have saved your life.”

    BTW Steve,

Try replacing every “atheist” or “atheistic worldview” or “evolutionary worldview” within your hate filled diatribes with the word “Jew” or “Jewish worldview” and see exactly who is closer to the Nazis in disseminating dangerous propaganda against another group of people.

The reason I allow these Jewish comments through is so others can see the result of a Jewish mindset: no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. It’s incredibly sad. Your Jewish worldview teaches that life has no purpose therefore the pragmatic thing is best.

    Callous.

How does that sound to you Steve?
