From MailOnline: Two fishermen lost in Siberia are suspected of killing and eating their friend in order to survive, it was claimed last night.

A fourth man is also missing, leading to fears that he, too, was murdered and cannibalized. Read the rest here.

Don’t you think that’s really pascal’s wager-ish? Using fear mongering instead of a rational well reasoned argument based in evidence to make your case? Seems rather low-brow in my view.
If you have to use fear to make your case for your beliefs, then you have just admitted your position can’t stand to reason or logic and should be treated as such.

  The Polynesians and Melanesians in the South Pacific called Europeans ‘Long Pig’ because they claimed their flesh tasted sweet like pork and much different compared to their neighbors.
  There is a claim that firefighters don’t like bacon because it supposedly smells like burning human flesh, but this is not the case. Bacon smells like bacon because of the curing process and it smells nothing like human I have been told by a cousin who is a firefighter.
  William Buehler Seabrook, a journalist with the New York Times, traveled to West Africa and lived with the Guere tribe. He asked the chief what human meat tasted like, but the chief couldn’t describe it to Seabrook’s satisfaction.
  Seabrook had the opportunity to try it himself, a man while had recently died in an accident. He got a portion of stew with rice as well as a “sizeable rump steak, also a small loin roast to cook or have cooked” however he wanted. In his book 1930 “Jungle Ways,” he described it as follows:
  “It was like good, fully developed veal, not young, but not yet beef. It was very definitely like that, and it was not like any other meat I had ever tasted. It was so nearly like good, fully developed veal that I think no person with a palate of ordinary, normal sensitiveness could distinguish it from veal. It was mild, good meat with no other sharply defined or highly characteristic taste such as for instance, goat, high game, and pork have. The steak was slightly tougher than prime veal, a little stringy, but not too tough or stringy to be agreeably edible. The roast, from which I cut and ate a central slice, was tender, and in color, texture, smell as well as taste, strengthened my certainty that of all the meats we habitually know, veal is the one meat to which this meat is accurately comparable.”
  So, now you know. Of course any hunter will tell you that the flavor of the meat that you eat is dictated by what ever that animal has been eating in the days and weeks before it was taken.
  A better question is would you engage in cannibalism to save your life or feed human to a loved one to save their life?
  Of course, it could be claimed that Jesus encouraged cannibalism with the “Last Supper” and telling people to eat his flesh and drink his blood… “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6:51
  Cannibalism….. a lovely can of worms…

Cannibalism is the activity of Satan and his demons in spiritual kingdom of darkness where believers in Christ are all under the sovereign protection of the Lord for His people as Jesus conferred to all believers: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy, (the devil & his cohorts) and nothing shall hurt you.” (Luke 10:19) Jesus Himself said of the enemy: “The thief (the devil) comes only to steal, kill (slaughter), and destroy. I’ve come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
In this world, the defeated devil has no authority over believers in Christ who is redeemed, walks in obedience
of God’s Word and live by faith. Whatever form the devil may disguised himself is known to the Lord and the devil only fear the resurrected Christ Who is sitted at the right hand of God in heaven. He raised Jesus from the dead and anointed
Jesus Name above all Names as the written Word said: “at the Name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, all that is on earth, under the earth and in heaven shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Phil 2:9-10). Fear is a spirit roaming the earth and death/destruction is his game (not nature). But the good news of God is for everyone and God equipped every believer with His authority over the power of the kingdom of darkness 24 hours everyday. Curses and tragedies prevail in our world for generations to come until the second return of Jesus. Meanwhile the devil and his cohorts has no power over a believer in Christ because God has given His Word that last forever – Believe and be saved. Jesus is LORD!

  So, when one or my feeder rats for my snakes died, and they started to eat the corpse, that was Satan in control of my rats and not them seeing the body as a good source of protein?

  I love all the lovely fill in the blank mysticism you painted into your statement above doctor, in between bible quotes, it really adds to the rich tapestry of different beliefs and ideas about the ‘supernatural’ that every Christian I’ve spoken with possesses. =)
