A young Muslim woman died after her burkha became snagged in a go-kart.

The 24-year-old woman, who has not yet been named, died a terrifying death today when a fluttering part of her burkha became caught in the wheels of a go-kart she was driving near the town of Port Stephens, north of Sydney. Read the rest from the UK’s Daily Mail by clicking here.

And the lesson here is. Religious attire should worn at your own peril, try and use common sense when you’re going to be doing potentially dangerous activities, its akin to going rock climbing with a blind fold on I guess.

  I do delete posts that give a disrespectful, wrongly interpreted perspective of my loving God. And just so you know, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. It’s not God’s will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
  What happened to this poor woman is extremely sad and grievous; I’m surprised that you show so little concern or compassion. Before I was a Christian, I, too, had little compassion for others.

I do have to ask what the purpose of the post is, yes a Muslim woman died because she was foolishly wearing something she shouldn’t have during a potentially dangerous activity, things like this happen, just like teenagers will leap over spillways on Jetskis and fall off, dying or breaking many many bones in their bodies. Its truly difficult for people to show compassion or concern for someone that is unknown to us. We show compassion and concern for people based on their relationship with us personally whether it be a neighbor or family member, or even a person we pass on the street in need of a trip to the hospital. But ultimately what message are you trying to get across Steve? That she was killed because she was a Muslim? That it was her time to die?

“The Word has two effects on a person: a hardening of the heart, or a softening of the heart: Pharaoh, in the account of the 10 plagues in the book of Exodus, shows how God uses His Word to bring about His purposes in hardening a heart for His glory.”
So, God’s will really isn’t that all should come to repentance, is it. Seems like if there’s a choice between our repentance and His Glory, His Glory wins.

I still haven’t gotten a straight answer from anyone on this site about an issue I had raised last week. Jim attempted to answer it but couldn’t really define it very well. You bring up a point Steve that you’re doing the loving thing by telling Garrett that he’s going to be judged. But what about people who have never heard of Jesus or God because they are/were geographically isolated from the rest of humanity, such as tribes in the Amazon rain forest. Jesus stated that only by believing in him can one enter the kingdom of heaven, then are these people predestined for hell because they have no churchs, no bibles, or no internet for which someone can tell them these things? Is that fair or just to born into that society with no way of salvation. No one ever gave me a good answer, Jim attempted to but tended to vacillate on his answer because he didn’t want to sound bad.

Actually, Steve, it seems like most of your fellow Living Waterers (?) lean Calvinist but are too afraid to commit lest it cause infighting. So it seems like we really don’t have a choice after all.
Do you disagree with them? Will you take a stand and firmly for Arminianism or just waffle like everyone else? Didn’t God say something about lukewarm believers?

Still no straight answer on the Amazonian tribes… a yes or no answer is all that is required, maybe an explanation of the reasoning behind it?
