St. Patrick’s Parade Wash-out

Oh noooo! It happens on occasion. Our scheduled outing to the Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade was rained out. (Fortunately, they rescheduled it for next Saturday.)

Nevertheless, here’s a report from 2008 when the weather was a wee bit better. (And read the reasons why we consider parades to be a vital part of our evangelistic effort.) Click here to read about it.

Steve have you ever considered street preaching at a marathon?

I was watching the Los Angeles Marathon yesterday and I thought “I wonder if Steve is there?”

Maybe next year you could be in Santa Monica near the finish line for the Los Angeles Marathon.

Or get some volunteers from Hope Chapel to hand out “cups of cold water” wearing Hope Chapel t-shirts. (Matthew 10:42)

Or organize the Hope Chapel Marathon Evangelical Team. I can see it now, a bunch of runners with Gospel themed t-shirts or t-shirts with the URL to Stone the Preacher or Hope Chapel.

Or you could run the marathon!

    Matthew 10:42 (KJV)
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

    1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV)
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

    Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
