World peace starts here. This amazing photo was taken at the Rose Parade at the beginning of this year. A Jews for Jesus guy (who’s a gentile) is posing with a Muslims for Peace guy. Burying the hatchet should always start with Christians.

Always good to see peaceful coexistence between the faiths, I think we’re really fortunate to have seperation of church in state in this country.

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
It’s all about seperation now we’re in the harvest. God is seperating out his flock. Don’t see any peace during the harvest in scripture, quite the contrary.

Very ominous Chris, we can assume you’re referring to the Rapture or advocating that Jesus says he came to spread violence 0.o? Can you please inform me when this harvest intends to take place? Didn’t we already get enough Christian violence during the dark ages, Crusades, or even the 30 Years War?

a. Steve said “hatchet,” not sword. But on a weightier note, perhaps if you’re going to claim to believe in the Bible, you should try to live by it.
b. Matthew 5:9 – Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
c. Matthew 26:52 – “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
d. Romans 12:17 – Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
e. 1 Corinthians 14:33 – For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.
Colossians 3:15 – Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

21 years in the military. As an airman, I used to get stuck on these horrific posts in the middle of nowhere, twiddling my thumbs for 12 hours. And we had a couple of times when they’d crack down on “recreational” material (sometimes to the point of no radios on post), but I quickly discovered that a Bible tended to be overlooked. So I had many opportunities to study it.
To be honest, it was extended familiarity with the Bible that cemented my convictions regarding religion.
(Also learned to abuse it, incidentally. At least once, I had a flight chief all up in my face, pointing at it and saying “What the (heck) is that!” And I looked him in the eye completely straightfaced, and said “It’s the Holy Gospel, sir. I don’t go anywhere without it.” And oddly, he dropped the matter.)

Seriously, Nameless, you should really return those bibles before it’s too late. Libraries are bad enough as it is, and I don’t want to know what the military does to you.
