Fun W/ Millions:: TIME TO KILL by Warren C.

I had some time to kill before picking up my parents at the airport, so I stopped by the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City. As I pulled my car into the mall I saw a bus stop with a ton of people. I pulled out a stack of 100 Million-dollar bill Gospel tracts and started to get to work. Most of the people at the bus stop were quite happy to receive the bill; there were a number of young adults and some senior citizens. In particular a young Asian woman with a UCLA sweatshirt got quite offended at me passing out bills and talking to people.

“F#*# Y#$,” she said vehemently.

“You’re a Christian just trying to convert people!” she said with disgust.

“What’s your name?” I politely asked.

“I don’t have to tell you,” she screamed.

She was young, angry, and upset. I was more than willing to talk to her but decided not to. No sense wasting time when I could be passing out more million-dollar bills. This was the second time that I have been cussed at and it’s a small price to pay for Christ. I left the bus stop and headed into the mall.

It was bustling. I easily passed out my 100 bills in less than 15 minutes. At many of the small shops I handed out the million and said, “What will this buy me?” The vendors chuckled.

At a hip-hop apparel store I approached the register and gave two girls a million-dollar bill and asked, “If you die today, will you go to Heaven or Hell?” I went through three of the 10 Commandments and shared what Jesus did on the cross. Maritza was not saved, but now had the full gospel presented to her. Interestingly enough, she mentioned that her Mom just went to a convention. It happened to be the same Jehovah’s Witness convention that our team infiltrated earlier this year!

I gave another one to a vendor of Middle Eastern descent; he read it and tried handing it back to me. I did not accept it because I was already ten feet away. After passing out the rest of the bills, I went back to my car to reload. I went back to the bus stop and handed out a dozen more.

One young man was sitting on the busstop bench and asked, “What is this for?”

“If you die today, will you go to heaven or hell?” I asked. “What’s your name?”

“Austin.”

Austin was attentive and quiet, bowing his head the whole time; clearly the message was sinking in. God was definitely stirring the heart and mind of this young man. I thanked him for his time and told him to think about our conversation.
