This Saturday we will be greeting visitors at the Tet Festival in Garden Grove with a hearty: Chuc Mung Na Moi! This means “Happy New Year!” in Vietnamese. And, it’s the Year of the Snake! Meet at Hope Chapel at noon to carpool.

On Tuesday, February 12, our ten week evangelism training, “Sharing Your Faith…Made Easy” starts at Hope Chapel from 7-9pm. My faithful evangelism leader Ed Lee takes over the teaching duties from me this time around. The class and all materials are free!

    It was a very nice day. What an easy event to pass out tracts albeit staying clear of the “bogies”. Folks were all too happy to take the tracts. As we said, “Happy New Year” and then handed them a tract or two. Some in our group even learned how to say “Happy New Year” in Vietnamese, while passing out tracts.

    Hey, next year when you go out to this family event and you have Happy New Year tracts left over, you can use them here. And it’s always good to put a trillion dollar bill inside it too. We were blessed enough to have several conversations.

    One of our conversations, with a group of teens, was telling of the power of the Gospel to convict. The teens at the outset were laughing and giggling as teens have the tenancy to do, however, after the gospel was preached, they went away sober minded. We were sure to give them tracts and booklets of “One second after…”

    The food at the event was outstanding too. While parking can be hard to find, we found parking in the adjacent neighborhood.
