Evangelism Adventure: Fiesta Hermosa

The Fiesta Hermosa is one of our largest evangelism events of the year. Over 100,000 people visit this pagan street fair on Memorial Day where we set up our evangelism booth right on the Hermosa Beach Pier, just outside the fair. Why do we set up outside the fair? Read below. Also below get the details of the event.

In the video watch how our silly little I. Q. Test causes an atheist to actually backslide a little; he actually becomes concerned that he is headed for Hell. (We give all those destined for the lake of fire a stuffed animal—because we’re nice!)

We set up outside the official fair zone because when they give us an official space, it’s usually off the beaten path, behind other vendors where people can’t see us. One time, they even put us next to the toilets. So, we park ourselves outside the fair, away from the jurisdiction of the powers that be who don’t like us. And, we go into the fair at will.

Here are the details if you’d like to join us: We will be at the base of the Hermosa Beach Pier from 8am-6pm, this Saturday, Sunday and Monday (May 28-30). You are welcome to join us anytime.

Parking will be at the Mira Costa High School parking lot (1401 Artesia Boulevard,
Manhattan Beach, CA 90266-6946) where you will take a shuttle bus down to the fair. Then walk on down to the pier. There is no other parking.

There is a slight possibility that we may not be permitted to set up on the pier. If that should happen, we will set up somewhere on the beach in the general vicinity. We may also have a team meet at the Surfer Statue on the Pier at 12:30pm. These are our alternative plans.

If you are coming here from out of town, you may find out the status of what we are doing by calling 310-374-4673 x.121 after noon on Saturday, May 28. I will leave a message telling you what we are doing.

I hope to see many people there this weekend.
