Of course Jesus doesn’t have to vote any political party unless He is human like us. Jesus will establish who will be in or out. Man can plan, speak his mind and vote, Jesus, our almighty God, the name above all names knows the future because He is the same yesterday, today, forever. Read Psalm 75:7.

    In God we trust.

Hilarious! Jesus doesn’t need to vote anyway. He is already King of kings and LORD of Lords.

So tell us what this election means biblically Steve, does this mean God doesn’t want a Mormon to be President?

Well, it means many things. One of them, of course, is that God didn’t want a Mormon to be President…at least at this time. Need more answers?

      • Nohm

Sure, I’d like to hear more answers, please.

What do the results of this election mean biblically?

      • I can only conjecture… Putting someone in office who is for abortion and gay marriage can only be seen as God’s further judgment of America (see Romans 1), a nation that has whole-heartedly turned its back on God to the point that a cultist was the only other major candidate. As we sail on towards a more socialistic, European form of government people’s reliance will be more on what Washington can provide instead of what God can provide. A weakening of our military by cutting a proposed trillion dollars will leave us exposed to our enemies. Our national debt will only increase given the current state of affairs leaving us in a severely unstable economic condition. It’s safe to say that we are no longer one nation under God in terms of peoples’ mindsets, though we are one nation under the judgment of Him.

I know you have your opinions Steve, and I’m sure you know I disagree with them, but I must ask sincerely: Why is gay marriage considered a judgment on America? In no way does it depreciate the value of heterosexual marriages across the country. If you honestly believe it does, you may need to re-evaluate your own marriage.

        Respectfully.

Also, if you are Pro-Life, then statistically it is the better option to be pro-Birth Control and actually keeping abortion legal. If you want the statistics and the anecdotes, please go ahead and ask.

      • Re: homosexual marriage and God’s judgment from Romans 1:
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

And I’m not necessarily against birth control.

I am curious though Steve, lets say that Romney won. Would you then say….

Clearly God wanted a Mormon to be president?

Or more to the point… if things had been reversed… clearly this would have been a sign that God didn’t want drugs or gay marriage in America… or that God wants America to have a ridiculous amount of military strength… like a modern day Rome mind you? You see it seems like there’s no scenario for last night that wouldn’t just get painted in either of those two categories.

In 2008 when Prop 8 passed was that God’s judgement then that he’s told America no on gay marriage… and now he’s ineffectual at overturning same sex marriage amendments 4 years later?

Addendum: With the massive push for Prop 8, was God working through the Mormon church then? And now do you believe that Mormon cults are a good thing when they push an agenda you agree with?

” I gave you my flawed overview as a limited-knowledge human who may be wrong.”

That’s big of you to admit Steve, I would say that these ballot initiatives are human beings exercising that ‘free will thingy’ and not really tied to divine fiat, which is why political alliances between evangelicals and mormons form in the first place even though both really can’t stand one another. Because you guys don’t like gay marriage. I’d check out Fred Clark’s blog on pathos if you’re ever interested in understanding differing points of view within the scope of Christianity and faith.

PS. I got your book in the mail Steve I’ll read it after I finish the Psychopath Test, I’ll send you your book soon.

I am pretty sure you have to exist and be a US citizen to vote here Steve. So their statement is 100% correct.
