I thought we’d take it easy this month; I’ve been really busy moderating all the atheist’s comments. (It seems that they are the only ones who care….)

Hey, you’re the one imposing draconian posting rules on us.

I guess it’s only fair, seeing as how we force Christians to put God in lower caps a- oh waaaaaait, we don’t!

Its Steve’s forum so its his rules, draconian or not, he doesn’t have to enable commenting at all, but he does. If you want a forum for debate you have to play by the rules regardless of what you might think of them. Even if you don’t believe in the God of the bible, or God in general its still polite to at least capitalize names, regardless if they’re fictional or real. The capitalizing of Him though is a bit of a head scratcher though. I figured you guys would be doing something on Halloween at least, that’s usually the thing in October to speak out the most about right? How did the Muslim festival go?

Since you have a lot of comments to moderate, you may have missed the grammatical error in Paul’s comment. He wrote “your” instead of “you’re”.

There are certain cases when it’s incorrect to capitalize God, but not in this case Steve.

    Vintango,

You don’t have to capitalize “him.” Just the names of God. Thanks.

And, of course, if you are talking about little “gods,” you don’t capitalize them.

From a grammar stand point you’d still capitalize names like Zeus, Posideon, Odin, and Jesus because they’re names, just like you’d capitalize Little Red Riding Hood, Robin Hood, and Rocky Balboa.
