Destinations: Hermosa Beach, More Parades!

The temperature has dropped to a frigid 60 degrees, so we are staying local this weekend. (I’ve actually had to start wearing a sweater with my cargo shorts.) Join us for a rousing time as we head to the Hermosa Beach Pier to share our faith. Meet at Hope Chapel at noon to carpool.

During warmer times I preached to people waiting in line for a shuttle bus at the Hermosa Beach Street Fair. (See below.)

On Saturday evening it’s the  Long Beach Daisy Ave. Christmas Parade. It starts at 5:00PM.  Meet at Daily & PCH in downtown LB at 4:00PM. Tom Nance-Uhlrich will be leading this team. You can email him for additional info here: [email protected]

I’m wearing a t-shirt under a shirt, a turtle neck sweater over that, longjohns, thick socks, pants, toque, face protector, neck warmer, a down-filled parka with a hood, gloves and ski goggles.

We just had our first storm today…8 inches of snow to shovel in sub-zero weather. And our zero is not your zero…wimp!

I can’t recall if I ever told you how much I loathe winter. If not, let me know and I’ll tell you some time. I’d love to join you at Hermosa Beach. Sorry, my roof has no doors for me to escape out of.

I knew Paul would chime in about this Steve – I live 10 hours southwest of Paul in Ontario and it is a balmy 14 degrees Fahrenheit today (-10 C)

Our church is doing a GO Team (Gospel Outreach) tomorrow night outdoors in London, including some open air – I just wanted you to know that I to have donned the sweater and cargo shorts….in September 🙂

Love the blog and see you at the August 2010 Ambassadors Academy.
