Cross Purposes: Like Father, Like Daughter

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

[Jesus said]: “And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:27)

[Jesus] called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

“Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
(Mat 18: 2-5)

1Cor. 1:18 (From the Textus Receptus) For the word of the cross to those truly perishing is foolishness: and to us being saved it is the power of God.
I had written this verse and a comment to go with it but my computer, internet explorer or something is timing out my typing time and I could not send it and had to retype.
