Doo Dah Parade, Pt. 3: Atheists United Vs. Truth

Can you think of anything more foolish than a cadre of unbelievers declaring in unison that there is no God while marching in silly costumes at the 2011 Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena?

I can think of something more foolish: a cadre of believers preaching the truth that there is a God, a God who will hold them accountable for their actions and their unbelief. (Click here to start at PART 1)

“For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:21)

I haven’t seen Bruce the Atheist since 2008 when he and his friend Millstone Frank tried to persuade my daughter that there was no God. She remained unconvinced and you can read about it here.)

Well, Lo and Behold! There was Bruce dressed up as a poor rent pilgrim proud of his blasphemous parade float and signs. There was only one thing to do: Preach. In fact we preached to this darkened crowd twice just to make sure they heard our message loud and clear!

Here’s the first session:

Want to see the second video where an atheist heckler shouts, “You’re an idiot! You’re an idiot!” until Bruce the Atheist whisks him away?

Well then here it is. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to hear him shouting at me, but I sure heard it…. Click here to see The Harmonica Heckler in PART 4!

Great job Steve! Please keep up the good work. Today was my birthday. I got a free BBQ sandwich from a vendor in town. Everyone behind the counter and customers alike got tracts. They all found out about my TWO birthdays and I urged them to repent and trust Him! Birthdays are SUCH a great opportunity to share Christ don’t you think?

Way to go, Steve. In the face of outright blasphemy and mockery, the gospel was preached. They have no idea what they are doing. Lest they repent and believe, they will find out on Judgment Day. I pray they repent.

Jesus saves, yes He saves, Jesus saves
Oh He saved my life and took away my strife
Oh I’m glad that Jesus saves….Amen!

I’m so glad too Steve. I agree, this little song is sung best with the accompaniment of a harmonica!

Parade season in the Canadian north will never be the same. Thank you Steve for this blog.

Sorry, Steve, but there’s really nothing here for me to comment on, either positively or negatively.

Of course, I question Paul’s unsupported assertions. But the sky is blue and other breaking news like that.

They… uhmm… looked silly in those robes? I think God is laughing at how silly human beings can act and behave sometimes, why else would he have invented parades?

I’m with perdita. Not a lot of meat here to chew on.

Here. I’ll add a little bit to help you out.

So, do we get held accountable on May 21? What are your thoughts on the Harold Camping trips?

Personally, I plan to throw a party, with a toast to Camping right at 6:00 p.m.

      Nameless,

You can read about Harold Camping in the Book of Jude. In fact, it’s written for guys like him.

Where do you live? I’ll join you for that end of the world party. Then, back to work on the 22nd.

I know you’ve asked for some interesting and provocative content before Steve so I’ll have a crack. I noticed the title said Atheists United vs Truth. I’m guessing Atheists United is a group name, but is Truth what you call your group or do you mean literally the truth?
