Here’s one comment I received after posting this on Scribd.com.
Do you not take your spouse into your heart to love? It’s a figure of speech. It is also a tool used by preachers to make a point. There is no literal hole, and for those who believe that, they will find the true comfort in Christ the way they are supposed to when the time comes. Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Are you going to tell me that was false as well? Someone must have peed in your offering plate or something. There are some preachers that use catch phrases, that do draw the weak minded down the aisle and follow the trance like state with the others. The preachers are the people that need to watch out for judgement. I think that if God sees that you are sincere in your hearrt and want to love him, understand him or not, it is that desire that he will see, and thus continue his love toward that person. The ones who continue to turn away and not accept the love there are also at risk. You have aright to your opinion, but it is obviously drawn from something in your past that wasn’t good. Hope it heals.

interesting response.. he was obviously so angry he pounded out his response and hit “Submit Comment” before thinking about it (or checking it). I pray he’ll by convicted by it, and change…

Seriously, I had this same misunderstanding of Scripture. I’m thankful to God that he has given men a heart to understand his word and they in turn the boldness to teach right doctrine to others.

( I wonder if the author of this comment went to my High School because he no spelll too good.)

Is this top ten list advocating sinless perfection after salvation? I assume the list does not mean once your are truly saved by repentance and faith in Jesus, you never will mess up. As long as I am living I will make mistakes, although I do not willfully want to do the same things I did in the past. This passage is in my mind: Romans 7:22-26 (New King James Version)

22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

You know the Bible says, “the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” And if it is beyond cure, then why invite Jesus there?

He’s probably angry because he “accepted Jesus into his heart” and does not want to believe that sharing his faith by leading others to “accept God into their heart” is Biblically unsound teaching.

I don’t think it’s possible to take this fellow’s comment seriously in any way. It doesn’t look like he was being angry but rather demonstrating that he isn’t even capable of writing an intelligent or clever response in support or opposition.
